The Metrodreamin scoring system is very weird about long ferries. Before adding the Seastreak boat to my NYC map, the score was 1193. After adding it, it was 1189. Changing it to an airliner brought it up to 1201 despite worse metrics. Why is it like this? I would suggest adding a new Catamaran mode

Adding the Seastreak ferry from East Midtown to Atlantic Highlands lowered the score to 1189. It has 60 minute travel time, 34.9M annual riders, and cost $180M.

Changing that ferry to an airliner increased the map's score to 1201, despite far worse metrics than the boat (63 minute travel time, 1.21M annual riders, and cost $1.40B)

Why is Youtube's "Don't Recommend Channel" button only visible in the feed of recommended videos, but it is not anywhere to be found on the channel homepage or video page? That's bad design. If I want to block a channel, the only way to do that is wait for it to appear in your recommended feed again

Old abandoned hospitals are often the subject of horror stories, but they are not actually haunted by the ghosts of the patients. The real reason old hospitals get abandoned is because they are full of asbestos, and therefore are too difficult to demolish. The worst you'll find in there is asbestos.

The Sydney Newcastle HSR is the dumbest HSR ever. 90% of the line is in tunnels, where it will run at a reduced speed. Aboveground stations would only be passed at 120 kph, which is less than half the speed of the Acela. Everyone mocks American trains but everyone is also cowards.

Track configuration
The Project will consist of a dual-track railway, with four tracks and four platforms at the termini at HSR Newcastle Station and HSR Western Sydney International Station, as well as at the Sydney stations at HSR Sydney Central Station and HSR Parramatta Station. These stations, other than HSR Parramatta, will also allow for overnight train stabling. HSR Central Coast Station will have two tracks and two platforms, while HSR Lake Macquarie Station will also have two initially, but safeguard space for a further two tracks and platforms to allow express intercity trains to overtake all-stops regional trains when the second service tier is overlaid as the Network expands.

Services between HSR Western Sydney International and HSR Newcastle will travel at up to the following speeds:
- At-grade or viaduct: 320 kph
- Inside tunnelled sections: 200 kph
- Station outside tunnel: 120 kph
- Station within tunnel: 80 kph
- Turnout and crossover speed between 50 and 80 kph

Other than Valley Road, Boylston is the only MBTA station that will never be made accessible because its whole gimmick is "this is what subway stations looked like in 1897" but if they want to make it more authentic they could replace the modern green signage and put back all the 1897-style signage.

Making music with real pianos is like running a marathon, and making music with a DAW is like pedaling a bicycle 26 miles, which is also impressive. AI music is like taking a taxicab 26 miles, saying you drove yourself, and demanding as much praise as the runner because a car has wheels like a bike.

Online age restrictions are why Tangaras have only 7 cars now! The so-called "kids online safety" brings only offline unsafety, because it leaves them with nothing better to do than vandalising trains. Delinquent children are why we can't have K sets anymore, they always ruin it every time one runs.
