Went out the back door this morning and, huh, 2 of the glass floats that usually float in a basin were rolling around on the deck. I definitely remember them being there last night. So how…?? Pulled up the overnight footage from the spotlight cam. Aha! I had a lil’ visitor!

#uglydogs Just got some thank yous from an #igivearod classroom. St Lawrence Island (164 mi west of Nome). Yes, the kids clearly copied what teacher wrote but 3rd graders charm finds a way to shine through. Makes me want to keep these kids in pencils & cheezits for the rest of their school lives.

Home from a quick RT Seattle -> Juneau. In Juneau, went over to AlaskaX’s musher camp & visited some floofs. Guide was Deedee (not *that* one) from Knik. Puppies (under comments) were more interested in playing tug of war with hem of worker’s rain pants than snuggles.

#uglydogs Earlier this year, the Willow Jr ran into a funding snag and I was either winding up for or down from #igivearod so I sent them money to, I think, fund the snacks. These came in the mail today. Junior mushers are the best! (Also keep an eye on those Randall kids!)

Friends, we have our April Fool’s Day winner.
