Right to move, right to return, right to stay
You can't deport a movement
April 12th Global Protest Day against Germany's racist deportation policy and crackdown of Palestine Solidarity
Free Palestine!
Freedom of Movement is everybody's rightOn Saturday the 12th of April, we call on people worldwide to unite in a Global Protest Day against Germany’s escalating repression of Palestine solidarity and its racist deportation policies targeting marginalized communities. After deporting two Gazan comrades in February and holding another two in a deportation prison, Germany now wants to deport three EU citizens and one US citizen for their involvement in the pro-Palestine movement. Germany’s crackdown on Palestinians and Palestine solidarity activists, as well as its aggressive deportation practices, is part of a broader attempt to silence dissent and violate the basic rights of refugees, migrants, and activists. What you can do:

Organize protests at German embassies, consulates, or local institutions. Take to the streets and make your voice heard! If you are in Berlin/Brandenburg join the protest at Leopoldplatz in Wedding at 2pm

Speak out against ALL DEPORTATIONS! Let Germany know that the world will not stand by while it kills, abducts and deports illegalized people.

Target German border profiteers - Call out, boycott and disrupt German companies that profit from deportations, from airline companies to surveillance software developers and prison construction companies.

Eid Mubarak to all 🎉 We hope everyone is able to celebrate this holiday with their families as they want. Our thoughts are especially with those who have to celebrate under difficult or even deadly circumstances like in #Gaza, #Sudan or #Congo.
The background is a blue-turquoise color gradient. At the top right is a drawing of garlands and lampinions.
In the middle, in yellow and surrounded by asterisks, it says “Eid Mubarak - and Blessed Eid to all our Muslim friends, comrades and followers!”
Underneath it says ”In light of this important Islamic holiday, we want to talk about Islam and the struggle against unsustainable and unjust debt. Although the Jubilee (the periodic cancellation of all debts) is a Jewish and Christian tradition, the issue of debt and its cancellation is also relevant in Islam.”The background is a blue-turquoise color gradient. At the top in the center it says “Debt & Interest in Islam” underneath it says “Lending is allowed, but only under the strict condition that the lender does not profit from it, so charging interest on a loan is forbidden [Quran 3:130]. In Islamic law, this is called "consuming riba" and is one of the seven major sins [Quran 2:275]. Roughly, "riba" can be translated as interest on loans. This prohibition is justified for two reasons:
1) Because Allah forbids it.
2) Because people should not profit from people in need, i.e. people who take out a loan.
The prohibition of "consuming riba" is an instrument that prevents the accumulation of wealth and power on the creditor side and the accumulation of more and more debt on the debtor side, since no new loans would be needed just to pay the interest on the old loans. Implementing this in the international debt system would:
1) Stop the draining of wealth from the Global South to the North.
2) Prevent the accumulation of unsustainable debt (as is currently the case in Egypt and Tunisia, for example, where over 30% of government revenue goes to debt service) and its negative consequences for people, nature, societies and economies.”The background is a blue-turquoise color gradient. At the top in the center it says “Debt & Transparency in Islam” underneath it says “In Islam there is the rule that there should always be at least two independent people to verify a debt contract and that the contract should be written down [Quran 2:282].
Implementing this practice in the international debt system would prevent the intransparent borrowing that often occurs with dictators and corrupt regimes in various countries. Often, the people of a country don't even know how much debt they owe and to whom and for what. One way to combat this intransparent borrowing is through debt audits. Follow us to learn more about this powerful but not yet widely used tool, which we will be promoting more in the future.”The background is a blue-turquoise color gradient. At the top in the center it says “Debt Cancellation in Islam” underneath it says “In Islam, it is considered charity to cancel the debts of people who are unable to repay them, or at least to postpone the repayment of the debt [Quran 2:280]. For this it is important to know that charity plays a very important role in Islam, which can be seen in the institutionalization of charity in the form of "Zakat".
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and is an obligatory regular payment that all Muslims should make, which is redistributed to those in need. The idea of charity is not directly comparable to debt cancellation in the international debt system. Debt is mostly caused by an unjust and colonial system designed to keep countries in debt and thus controllable, so it is not charity but necessary justice to cancel it. Still, we also support the principle of cancelling the debts of those who can't repay, and the principle of redistributing power and wealth.”

The suffering in east Congo makes us sad and angry at the system of destruction behind this violence. So today we want to share the voice of a front line activist: Daniel Kalalizi, student and climate and peace activist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. #StopTheGenocide #FreeCongo
The background is black with the outline of the DR Congo colored with the flag of the DR Congo.
In the front there is text: “In light of the atrocities and suffering that the people in east Congo are experiencing through the hands of M23, Rwanda, colonialism and extractivism, we want to share this call to action from our comrade Daniel Kalalizi.” and “A CALL TO ACTION TO SAVE CONGO: PEACE AND JUSTICE IN CONGO
1st of March, 2025 from Daniel Kalalizi - Climate and peace activist and student from DR Congo”. All the text is inside a box with a red frame. The background is black with the outline of the DR Congo colored with the flag of the DR Congo.
In the front there is text: “Dear friends, dear defenders of human rights,
Today, I address you from the Democratic Republic of Congo, through those who have accepted to carry my message. My name is Daniel Kalalizi, and I have lived through the horrors of the conflicts that plague my country, especially in the east, in Goma, Bukavu, and beyond.

It is crucial that the world hears our cry of despair, but also our call for hope. The war, fueled by armed groups like the M23, has already cost the lives of thousands of Congolese. These rebels, driven by personal interests and greed, have turned our mineral-rich land into a battlefield, where innocence and human life are worthless.”. All the text is inside a box with a red frame. The background is black with the outline of the DR Congo colored with the flag of the DR Congo.
In the front there is text: “I remember the days when I had to flee, first from Goma to my parents' village, thinking I would find refuge there. But even there, the shadows of the M23 followed me. I had to flee again, this time to Bukavu, where I faced the same terror. Each encounter with these rebels was a new confrontation with death. Every step on that path was a reminder that peace is a distant dream for us Congolese.

We are a people who have suffered so much. Our lives, our homes, our communities are shattered. The rampant exploitation of our natural resources by local and international actors only worsens this tragedy. Our minerals, instead of developing our nation, fuel violence and injustice. Multinational companies, in their quest for profit, turn a blind eye to the suffering of our people.”. All the text is inside a box with a red frame. The background is black with the outline of the DR Congo colored with the flag of the DR Congo.
In the front there is text: “That is why I ask you, here and now, to raise your voice for justice. Demand that governments and companies take their responsibilities. That every actor in the supply chain commits to respecting human rights. Ensure that our suffering is no longer a benefit for others. But beyond international responsibility, we need solidarity. We need you, here in Germany, to hear our call. Every demonstration, every letter, every action counts. Do not remain passive in the face of this injustice. Engage for peace in the DRC and for the protection of those who do not have the ability to speak.

It is important to remember that this struggle for peace is also a struggle for dignity. Every moment, women, children, and men are victims of atrocities and human rights violations. They endure unspeakable violence that leaves indelible scars on our society. How can we, as humanity, remain silent in the face of such suffering?”. All the text is inside a box with a red frame.

Today, on the International Day Against Racism, we are launching a series on the intersection of racism & colonialism. Today, you’ll find a brief historical overview of racism, colonialism, & whats the role of debt politics in all of this. Stay tuned for more posts in this series! #DayAgainstRacism
In the middle is the following text “TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL DAY
AGAINST RACISM” At the bottom is “#DebtForClimate #CancelTheDebt” At the top right is the Debt for Climate logo in orange (raised fist with the outline of Africa and Abya Yalas [indigenous name for South America] and below it the words “Debt for Climate”.In the middle is the following text “Racism can only be understood in
the historical context of European
foreign domination. Colonialism
refers to the occupation, oppression
and exploitation of one country by another through the use of military force. Racism serves as a means of legitimization for this process. Colonialism aims to secure access to raw materials, labor, and markets. Often, private trading companies, supported by royal charters, led the expansion — for example, the English East India Company.” At the bottom is “#DebtForClimate #CancelTheDebt” At the top right is the Debt for Climate logo in orange (raised fist with the outline of Africa and Abya Yalas [indigenous name for South America] and below it the words “Debt for Climate”.In the middle is the following text “EUROPEAN EXPANSION

The Treaty of Tordesillas in 1494, between Portugal
and Spain declared the ambition of the conquest of the world and marked the initiation of european colonialism. As early as 1528, the era of the slave trade was initiated with an agreement between Spain’s Charles V and the Augsburg merchant Bartholomus Welser for the delivery of 4,000 enslaved people. England, France, and the Netherlands soon became competitors. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Great Britain assumed dominance. Europeans established colonial empires in North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. As a result of wars of independence, direct colonial rule on the American continents came to an end.

With the occupation of Algeria in 1830, France marked the beginning of the age of High Imperialism in the late 19th century. The division of Africa was planned at the Berlin Conference of 1884/85 and was followed by genocidal violence, displacement, plundering, and exploitation. In addition to the United States and the former colonial empires, today new imperialist forces, multinational corporations, and international financial interests continue to drive neocolonialism.” At the bottom is “#DebtForClimate #CancelTheDebt” At the top right is the Debt for Climate logo in orange (raised fist with the outline of Africa and Abya Yalas [indigenous name for South America] and below it the words “Debt for Climate”.In the middle is the following text “THE RISE OF RACISM IN EUROPE

At the onset of European expansion, the interests of
scholars from fields such as medicine, anthropology, ethnology, and prehistory in funding for scientific expeditions for studies on human development aligned with the interests of principalities and kingdoms to explore regional conditions for occupation. Within these research groups, the evolutionist assumption took hold — the idea of a linear development from the so-called “primitive natural peoples,” as allegedly found in Africa, to “civilized cultural peoples” in Europe. This notion culminated in the construction of biological “races” and the “science of race”.

Racist narratives — such as the cultural circle theory, the concept of tribal societies, the idea of the Third World, and other stereotypes — have permeated European thought, influencing philosophers like Heidegger, Kant and Hegel. The racially fueled European wars of conquest culminated in genocides, concentration camps in Africa, and eventually in the industrialized extermination machinery of National Socialism in Europe.
To this day, racism continues to serve the function of asserting Europe’s cultural superiority by devaluing other cultures as “primitive” or “backward,” thereby justifying domination and exploitation.” At the bottom is “#DebtForClimate #CancelTheDebt” At the top right is the Debt for Climate logo in orange (raised fist with the outline of Africa and Abya Yalas [indigenous name for South America] and below it the words “Debt for Climate”.

#TagGegenRassismus

GEGEN RASSISMUS"
Unten steht "#DebtForClimate #CancelTheDebt"

Debt cancellation will not be given to us freely, we - the people - have to organize and take it ourselves e.g. through debt audits. So mark you calendars to learn about debt audits: 24th of March 7pm UTC
