Nope. Harper's tenure ended in 2015. The Conservative party has, however, had 3 different leaders since then; Scheer, O'Toole & PP.

PP's been the most divisive & craven federal political leader in my entire (65+) lifetime. He can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't that largely be driven by need due to population growth and baby boomers requiring more care rather than any substantial increase in societal wealth?

Stelco's CEO receives an annual salary of $35.3M (12% salary & 88% bonuses, stock & options). Following its acquisition, he was positioned to receive nearly $647M for his overall stake in the company, which included approximately $40M in stock awards. They can start there.

I already provided you with Chapter 7 - Special Debates from the HOC's Standing Orders Procedures, perhaps you need to review all 150 rules which pertain to such. www.ourcommons.ca/procedure/st...

Centrists don't blindly support any given party. They examine and compare ideas from all of them and vote accordingly based on what's being advanced by each of them. I've voted for each one of those parties at different times in my life over the past 50 years.

As I said before, it likely had to do with her wanting an immediate debate which even the Speaker himself wasn't sure if it met the requirements of the standing orders. In other words, it's something he'd have to look into to advance it in the future. I'm a centrist, not a partisan.

Did you even read the Treason sections of the Criminal Code I posted? It's not enough they went to the US & basically colluded with Republicans to help them in their desires, there needs to be actual evidence of them plotting violence, war, overthrowing the gov't, passing on state secrets, etc.

Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
As he stated, he wasn't satisfied that her request for an immediate debate "meets the requirements of the standing order at this time." There's strict rules on how debates & question periods proceed in Parliament so it likely his decision had more to do with the immediacy request than anything else.

That's ridiculous. Most Liberals including governmental officials view Danielle Smith & her separatist allies' actions to be treasonous even if they may not rise to the strict legal definition of such under Sections 46(1) and 46(2) of the Criminal Code. laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-4...

No, that is speculation. The only logical conclusion is that the strict, specific thresholds outlined in the Criminal Code—Sections 46(1) & 46(2)—for a treason criminal prosecution to proceed haven't been met. I suggest you read those. laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-4...

The Trump regime's been interfering in Brazil's politics/elections for years and even played a role in Bolsonaro's attempted coup in 2024.

While the offer may have been purely a general courtesy they offer to those attending their office, you were wise to turn it down as they could in fact — had they wanted — gain personal info off your phone if you'd used their WiFi such as domains you've used, IP address, your phone device, etc.
110
Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
I can understand the offer while you waited in reception to be called in so you wouldn't have to use your own data while you scrolled your phone but not in the conference room. Did they require you to look anything up online while in there?
110
Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Was that offered to you while you were sitting in the waiting room before being called in or during the actual interview itself? What type of company were you interviewing with?
111
Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
That's not micro-managing. Standing over someone while they perform their duties or being forced to report to them on everything you do is. Bringing a drink into an interview and sipping on while there demonstrates a lack of personal boundary setting & professionalism.

Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
I've screened, interviewed & hired many during my career. It's fine if a person brings one to their interview & immediately places it into an backpack pouch when called in for their appointment but if they don't and leave it in hand and drink from it during such, that's an immediate disqualifier.

He did a lot of corrupt/sleazy things but can only be impeached for & convicted of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and Misdemeanors, though the Constitution doesn't define what those entail.

Trump was more constrained in his first term because he was surrounded by career professionals and experts that prevented him from indulging in his most corrupt/criminal instincts. He's gotten rid most of them now and replaced them loyalists that do his bidding.

Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
He was impeached for abuse of power & obstruction of Congress in 2019 & then in 2021 for incitement of insurrection. The House presents their evidence and then went to the Senate for a vote. It takes 67 votes to convict. In both cases, Republicans had a majority of seats & voted to acquit him.
120
Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
They successfully impeached Trump twice. It was Republican Senators who shamefully acquitted him.
120
Debra Davidson @debralhd.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Attempting to do so when they have no subpoena or other real power in the House is futile but it's literally their job to do so when they do have that power. If they can gain a Senate majority too, even better. The longer Republican voters are forced to endure economic pain the more they'll revolt.

If the Dems do regain the House but don't impeach, it demonstrates to the world yet again that the US is lawless and can never be trusted again no matter which party is in power. It's prior reputation will be completely destroyed.

She posted that pic/caption on FB Sept. 11th. It immediately went viral within Canada & people were pissed, going so far to track down her employer, etc. For There was no indication on it that it was AI. That was only found out 12 days later after her employer got involved and interrogated her.

Mamdani learned he didn't have the legal power or authority to do so after becoming Mayor. The US isn't a member of the ICC nor even recognizes them as a legitimate court, likely due to engaging in war crimes/crimes against humanity themselves for decades & don't want to be held to account for such.
