When I was a kid and we went out to eat my depression era grandmother would take home everything on the table - condiments, salt, pepper, sugar, sometimes even the silverware if she liked it. Now I grab a handful of Splenda every time I go to Starbucks.

When I was 10 my grandparents loaded me and my siblings into their gigantic Cadillac and we went to the drive-in to see Green Berets (Vietnam, John Wayne). I don't know what it was rated but I was traumatized and still remember some gory scenes.
