Oh hey it’s a unicorn

A digital drawing/painting of a purple unicorn in a colorful forest, finding some strange/looking mushrooms. The background is a bit crude and is showing my relative newbie status with digital media, but it was a fun experiment. Not sure if I captured the vision, but I sure did give it a try, and the unicorn looks pretty reasonable imo. Horses are hard

Art on the wall! The opening reception was great! Met lots of cool people, saw lots of cool art, and even won a costume contest prize (3rd place). Oozing success over here rn 😄💅

A happy artist (me!) dressed in a sparkly fairy costume, standing in front of a gallery wall with my art (top) and another painting below it in coordinating colors.

You look like a fairy to me. I mean, have they seen butterflies? And it came out awesome! Great job and congrats!

Final form of transformation - tentacles took over zombie, only one original eye remains while new eyes emerge on new tentacles.

I'm learning more about how to better manage life with dyslexia. One area is shit executive function. I get allergy shots weekly and I'm switching from reading in the waiting room to sketching, hoping of save some of the limited executive function for the rest of the day. #dyslexia #neurodivergent

Another classic, not sure if I've already posted this one here.

The image is a six panel black and white comic.

Panel 1 - a girl sits at her desk in front of a computer, looking disheartened. She says, "I dont know if I should post this art, who would even want to see it?"

Panel 2- A new person bursts through the door in the background with a loud BAM

Panel 3- The new person pushes the girl out of the way, smushing her face in the process, while slamming their fist down on the keyboard.

Panel 4- The computer shows that the art has been posted

Panel 5- The person makes direct eye contact with the girl while pushing their finger against their own phone screen

Panel 6- A motion blur is added to the last panel, enhancing the impact of the new notifications on the new post. It reads, "(Friend) Liked Post just now" Followed by "(Friend) commented 'I FUCKING LOVE THIS AND I LOVE U'"

Underneath the last panel is a watermark that reads, Shubbabang

#inktober #inktober2026 #art Day 7: panic Okay, I kinda phoned this one in. But it’s what came to mind and I couldn’t think of anything else

An ink drawing taken from a gif meme of a pair of stick figures, arms stretched up and looks of dismay exclaiming “O noes!” And “OMG!” in a state of panic.

Illustration by Eleonor Piteira showing a black woman with an elaborate golden headpiece. Her hair is curly and long, she's wearing a dress, and gold and blue make up on her eyes. She is framed by a circle and behind her there is a space view with a star and small planets.

Say it ain't so! Tapas is shutting down service. Am I the only comic artist who's going to have to relocate a story? What are some alternatives you guys are looking at? (I'm thinking Comic Fury or GlobalComix.) Tapas' statement: tapas.io/newsfeed/271

A statement from Tapas:
After more than a decade, the very difficult decision to wind down the Tapas platform has been made.
We know this news may come as a surprise to the Tapas community, and we understand that this is a significant change for the readers,
creators, and partners who have been part of Tapas over the years.
With this transition, users can no longer acquire Ink starting October 1, 2026. Users will be able to use any remaining Ink until March 31, 2027.
The end of service date is March 31, 2027.
Thank you for being part of Tapas and for making this community what it is today. We're incredibly grateful to the creators who trusted us with their stories and to the readers who supported those stories and helped them reach new audiences. The countless stories, connections, and communities built here will always be an important part of Tapas.
