There is also plenty of kindness, loveliness, beauty and laughter. We mustn't lose sight of those. Let's find joy in simple things: they are vital for happiness 🤗

Tales From A Terrace... Lots of European bee-eaters whirling around today, preparing to migrate. It has been hot and humid, but the air now feels like it really wants to rain...maybe tomorrow 🤞🤞 The cats spotted a humming-bird hawkmoth in the plumbago and were transfixed! Don't worry: it flew off 🙂

Tales From A Terrace A nice cool 😏 28C, humidity 54%. Still some Saharan dust, so a bit hazy towards the mountains. The solar lights come on before 9.30pm now. The swifts and swallows have gone 🥹 Such brave little birds; I miss them...but a huge vulture flew close earlier, that made us flinch! 🤣🙀

The village square, from my terrace, 5am. This goes on till 6.30am every night of the Feria and gets even louder towards the end. And there is a fairground designed for this, but no, they insist on the heart of the village so we can all be kept awake for four nights. FFS! 🥱🥱🥱🤬

I love my travelling. Have enjoyed nearly a week in wonderful Porto then walked a Camino de Santiago and spent a couple of days in Santiago de Compostela, which I adore...but right now I am SO happy to be home in Andalucía ❤️
