🍂⛩️A Name Only You Can Call Me - Sojimaru x Kuroryu 🥷🐉 **you can click alt text for their story and a description of the piece :)** #ocs #ocsky #originalcharacters

Kikuchi Sojimaru with Kuroryu, my wife's dragon/loong/wise one character.

As a godling/god, Sojimaru has the unique circumstance of immortality as long as he is worshipped, beloved and remembered. After several years of staying by Ryoma's side, he is left broken hearted and alone after his mortal death, waiting for his ascension or reincarnation.

he turns to Kuroryu, a Wise Won tasked with protecting Ryoma in his reign. Once corrupted by a demon lord to keep him from his duties to his mountain and the shogun, Kuroryu (true name never given) is still suffering the effects of his blight in a changed appearance. He and Sojimaru find comfort as survivors later in life, living long together before he too must depart to make way for a modern world.

Kuroryu, literal translation being Black Dragon, refers to his blighted and corrupted state when he is first met. His true form, as shown here, is golden and bright, but stained by his affliction. Sojimaru is the one who cured him to this state centuries ago.

The two of them stand before a torii gate leading to their shared shrine in the middle of a set of undisclosed mountains in the western region of japan. The moon is high, bright and full in a nebulas sky. Sojimaru is being pulled into Kuro, eyes closed and waiting for an intimate kiss, as Kuro leans into him, as though to give it to him. Sojimaru wears a blueish black undershirt with a red kimono depicting cranes, while Kuro wears a black kimono with golden dragons displayed, a large mokomoko/fur piece that represents his dragon body and tail draped over his shoulders

Seeing someone say that you’re essentially not trans unless you medically transition which isn’t possible for everyone and then back peddle and then post 13 hours ago that they want to take antidepressants not because they’re depressed but because they seem cool has pissed me off beyond normal

They have a large horn on the top of their head, and exposed black teeth. There are three red with yellow tips spines going down the back of the neck. There are open spots between their scales that have a fiery glow. Their yellow forked tongue is peeking out in a little blep.

Sojimaru in a modern au would run a bookstore/cafe combo with a shrine box outside. This is a selfish thing because he needs belief to stay alive so he’d just be out here like “oh yeah this herbal tea? Blessed by a god. You should leave an offering” and then feel so proud of himself for it

🌀Kikuchi Sojimaru👹 - The Blue Hannya of the Tokugawa #oc #originalcharacter

a portrait of Kikuchi Sojimaru, my original character. Sojimaru means cleansing circle. kikuchi means chrysanthemum pond. to the side of him is his family crest, a wave in the middle of a crescent moon with three chrysanthemum flowers among them. two half flowers act as a border.

sojimaru has yellow, snake like eyes, accented by blue make up and red lips. his hair is black with blue streaked throughout. he is wearing a green and blue shinobi kimono, with a blue scarf to cover his neck where there is a scar from a severe wound is. he stares at the viewer with a dead, stoic expression. sojimaru is known to be cold and rough, often never showing his emotions and hesitating before opening up. the only person who has seen his genuine smile are his friends and lover.

he serves his friend, the shogun heir, Tokugawa Ryoma, my wife's oc. in their story they learn there is much more to their bond than just friendship. Sojimaru, despite becoming his husband later in life, is also his fierce protector, known to leave blood in his wake whenever his lover is threatened.

art of my wife and I's ocs, Tokugawa Ryoma and Kikuchi Sojimaru. Ryoma is depicted with dragon corruption, having been forcibly corrupted through grief and revenge. By giving in to the dragon within him, forced upon him at his birth, he brings Sojimaru, his childhood friend, back to life after he perishes saving his life.

The result is a communion between the two. One cannot live without the other, and Sojimaru's life essence and faith cultivation are used to feed the dragon within in an attempt to exorcise it from Ryoma's soul. In turn, the more of his core that he uses, the closer he comes to death's embrace again, corrupting himself with the snakes of Benzaiten. They both have become living gods in a sense, recreating folklore as Benzaiten, one of the Lucky Gods had once tamed a great Loong/Dragon, taking it as her husband.

in this piece, ryoma is holding sojimaru after they are first reunited after sojimaru's resurrection. they sit in the castle/mansion garden, a place of tranquility for soji.

"Making promises again, Ryoma-chan?..." 🍃A Night Away At The Hot Spring♨️ #ocsky #originalcharacter #originalcharacters #ocs #oc

a scene at night featuring my wife and I's ocs, Tokugawa Ryoma and Kikuchi Sojimaru.

The two of them have snuck away to a natural hot spring for some alone time. The scenery is bathed in the glow of the moon as the steam around them shrouds their bodies, heating them up. Ryoma is holding Sojimaru close as Sojimaru plays with his hair. He's leaning in for a kiss as his lover stares affectionately at him. For once things are calm and serene. They barely notice the scars and pain between them...

🔥The Cleansing Fire, Sojimaru. God of Rebirth and Healing🦚 #ocsky #ocs #originalcharacter

art of my oc Sojimaru in his true form. Born of Benzaiten and a golden dragon, Sojimaru is associated with snakes and fire, able to cleanse and heal with his flames but also destroy so that nature may mend.

He's wearing a crown with a maple/lotus motif, showing healing and love, while he holds a white/albino snake in his left hand. his clothes are red, blue, pink and purple, with gold finishing. the red kimono shows snake skin, maples and smoke, while the pink kimono shows chrysanthemums, which represent healing.

behind him is a celestial array of his godhood as he stands before ghostly flames and a sky full of pink gas and green stars.
