the heroes are less powerful, but its an issue with inheriting the most powerful cards from each set people used to complain endlessly about revel in runeblood and now they look at savor bloodshed and go "yeah this is a bit above average" aggro dominance has been masked by the printing of shelter

people complain about blockslop in sage but 4 block d reacts are so normalized in cc that people lose their mind as soon as a deck like verdance tells them no, this card isnt as useful into me players assume a card is worth 3 value, but with todays aggro numbers 4 is the baseline for everything

ive been thinking about some of the tools that make kassai a relevant deck getting a bit more access to sellswords totally transforms its gameplan it would be interesting to see #fabtcg strategy revolve a bit more around fighting over board state, its a cool and kind of unique idea

they should make sage precons that are just top-performing lists for various heroes from the previous season include a little fluff about the player who piloted it, maybe collaborate with them for a small guide on playing it also you can include a card with a full portrait of them to haunt the box

sadly the average gamer is very emotion driven and rarely analyzes deep data to help crack what moves metas people also tend to be overly pessimistic of 'blues matter' decks and how powerful the consistency is zen, nuu, enigma, iyslander, and gravy bones are all examples of this

spoiler season gets people very negative for some reason so id like to talk about something about #fabtcg that i like :) magics card format after the first few sets is very bland in order to be legible (no shade), but fab made the breakthrough that there are sans serif fonts other than arial

fatigue decks in #fabtcg face an inherent bias that impacts their performance and ability to showcase player skill their gameplans take so long to execute, players dont get as many reps into the deck in testing on the other hand, oscoliosis wins or loses in 3 turns, and can practice more

the problem is that the average gamer isnt classicly trained to a high degree and has difficulty distinguishing between the two you could show them a proper opinion distilled from enormous amounts of data or a simple hivemind kneejerk emotional reaction and theyd struggle to know which is which

i can see why they wanted to shake up the cosplay contests, since many people expressed it was intimidating to compete against a fixed meta of the same people winning them over and over they should have implemented a sort of ban list to keep it competitive, like they do in CC

aggro has gotten a bit too powerful and i think a gentle meta piece could help other decks combat them they should give guardians a 2h hammer in the style of jarlhammer (forget the name lol) where it swings for 3/5 (1/2 handed) off a single blue, under some condition

the thing many #fabtcg players dont think about is how much the ratio of blues in your deck affects how it plays and the general power curve of it yet at the same time, we have decks like cindra (few blues) and gravy (many blues) both do well and be consistent consistency comes in many forms
