submitted my own message to discord. i experienced the verification system first-hand when i was in the uk (it was mandatory) and it was deeply invasive. make your thoughts known here support.discord.com/hc/en-us/req...

Hi. I've used Discord for nearly 10 years.

I'm disappointed with your decision to make face scanning and ID verification mandatory for age verification.

I have little confidence that you can protect teenages with this update, let alone anyone. As someone who lived in the UK and frequently returns to visit, I experienced this verification method firsthand, and found it invasive and poorly-managed. Your platform also suffered a data breach in October 2025, where hackers stole over 70,000 government IDs (among other pieces of sensitive information.) This will put people in danger: especially vulnerable groups like teenagers.

If you do not take back your decision, I will stop using Discord when this update rolls out.

More on this btw. Potential way to kick it from your servers. The ID is 1153984868804468756 Remember, never believe an AI bot's claims that they won't train your stuff without permission. They will. #Discord

Discord recently partnered with a Generative AI called DomoAI and apparently they’re in every server but sneakily don't show up in the member list.

However they still use the art/images sent in the server to train their AI.

To bypass this, people have found the AI’s ID so we can ban them.
The AI has already been banned in this server, but for anyone here who has a server or is in another art/creative space, please use this advice and ban the following ID using the /ban command.

It may also be smart to start watermarking your pieces.
