After nearly four decades behind the camera and in the photography business as a professional boudoir photographer, I have learned one lesson that can change everything: You attract what you present. If you are having trouble attracting high-paying photography clients, the problem may not be your talent, your camera gear, your local market, or the photographers competing with you. Photographer Fatigue is what happens when you stop loving the photography you used to love! It was 0600, and I was getting ready to leave for a location shoot. The location was A-1-Brake and Carburetor here in the valley. I'd shot there before and I messed up the entire shoot, and we were going back for a re-shoot. Normally, that would be a reason to be excited.

Let me tell you about the time I completely screwed up a photo-shoot. And I mean completely. I'm talking lights in the wrong place, brain fog from skipping lunch, and enough rookie mistakes to make you wonder how I've managed to stay in this business for decades. But here's the thing: I'm actually glad it happened. Because if there's one truth I've learned after years behind the camera, it's this—failure isn't just part of the process.

Buying a camera is exciting. You finally have the camera you have been wanting.
