My hometown in Summerland, BC has called me an author, that is pretty cool to this old film property master. My book "They Don't Pay Me To Say No, My Life in Film and Television Props" is now in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Margaret Herrick Library's Core Book Collection.

One my favourite book list days ever was when my book was on a list with Dave Grohl's "The Storyteller" which was a great read. Although my book is a film book, there are stories about The Tragically Hip, Iggy Pop, Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Issac Hayes, and Jimmy Cliff.

Two great unvarnished reads about Hollywood from my friend Barry Sonnenfeld. He once fired Donald Trump off a commercial. His books are funny as F@#k!

#moviesky 2025 book year ends with my little small-town Canadian Property Master Book on the Amazon USA Directors book list with Clint and Steven. Yes that is crazy to me. Self published, no agent and now in the Academy's Margaret Herrick Library's Core Book Collection. I am humbled and grateful.

#filmsky #moviesky I really enjoyed my interview on for the podcast Press Play and Surrender with Eoghan McQuinn today. We talked about my book "They Don't Pay Me to Say No." My 40 year career, and my work on "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," and "Unforgiven."

#film📽️. In my sequel book to "They Don't Pay Me To Say No" which has been added to the Academy Library, I am expanding my stories of working on multiple westerns including "unforgiven, Open Range, and The Assassination of Jesse James." My rough excerpt of the assassination catalyst in JJ.

Hanging out today with Clint Eastwood on the Amazon Canada's Directors book list. For the record, I am not a director, but I did work as an assistant Property Master on "Unforgiven" with Clint. #📽️FILM.

📽️Glad to see the little film "The Order" is still chugging along finding audiences in streaming. I am proud of the work we did on that film with a very limited budget.

📽️Film After a forty year film career, I decided to write a book, self publish it and send it to the universe not knowing where it would land. Then this year, I found out it is now in the Academy's Margaret Herrick Libraries Core Book Collection in the Cecil B. DeMille Reading room. What a finish.

#booksky,#film This year I completed my last motion picture property master job. My industry presented me with a McGuffin Award (Property Masters Guild) for my work on "Heretic". The Academy's Margaret Herrick Library accepted my self published, no agent book into the Core Book Collection.

My Oscar Nominated wife "Unforgiven" set decorator Janice bought the hookers beds from the Greeley's set. They have been in our spare room for 34 years. Now we are going to see if there is interest in the auction world for two pieces of Hollywood Best Picture "Unforgiven" history.

#Film, #Moviesky. Happy International Women's Day! "There's no place for women in Film, and how dare you take a job from a man." These were the IATSE words that greeted my wife, Oscar Nominee for "Unforgiven." She did not let those words stop her in a 40 year career of inspiring women in film.

Is there an actual opposition in the USA for what is going on? I am thinking that maybe it is time for the Democrats to put down "Robert's Rules of Order" and Decorum for Dummies" and watch "The Godfather." Then add in "No Way Out" to understand you have brought a butter knife to a gunfight.

In Honour of Gene Hackman, and Oscar weekend there is a wonderful featurette on the making of "Unforgiven" on Youtube. It was the perfect set to work on. Everything portrayed in this behind the scenes look shows how lean, and smart the entire crew was. Gene and the cast were a joy. #Film #Moviesky
