Spending time in my sewing room making a new hobo bag and trying not to think about how messed up we have become in five short months. The only swearing I did was when a pin got me. It was a nice change from saying the “f” word every 5 minutes.

It’s been a while since I shared any creative stuff so here are a couple of pictures of my current works in progress. Christmas ornaments and some collage/mosaic artwork.

This ornament is made in the style of a log cabin quilt block.

My sewing table, today featuring the scraps that will be a Christmas ornament and my current fabric art. I wanted to see how it would look with a larger mat.

Since it snowed here again over night I thought it was a good time to share some artwork reflecting warm sunny days at the beach. I finished this piece last week and am now in the process of switching out sewing machines so I can work on bigger pieces if I want.

It's awful dreary today in upstate NY so I figured it was a good time to share some bright and cheerful Spring artwork. Enjoy!

This is how I construct these fabric mosaic art pieces. I have lots of bags of scraps left over from my different artwork creations. Almost no piece is too small.

New Project. I decided it needed something to break up the hard line of the water. Note to self, in the future put on some hand lotion before trying to work with the silk. I think I like the way it looks though and will some after I get the sand completed and the palm tree added.

This is an image of my current artwork in process. It shows a sky completed using hand painted fabrics from the wonderful Skydyes company. She is no longer online so I have to make due with what I have. I’m trying out silks and other embellishments to add texture to the artwork.
I have part of the beach completed and will be adding a palm tree on the left and I think some greenery on the right.

I redid my little studio and all-of-a-sudden I had room for my easel again. It's nice to have a place I can stand back and look at my work again. I haven't decided yet if this current piece is going to be the ocean or a lake with trees. Stay tuned...

Here are the pictures for mine. It was a Birthday present from my husband in the 1980's or 90's. We lived on Long Island at the time and the person he it bought it from had family in Scotland. That is all I know about its history. Let me know if I missed anything you needed.

I wanted my first post to be special so I decided to introduce you to Lily. She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last month and isn’t taking it like a trooper but more like the diva she is. She refused to take her pills so we have moved on to gel in the ears. Still not fun for either one of us.
