The 16th Artillery Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine shared a video of both the manufacturer & the brigade explaining the Ukrainian-made Protector UGVs of which Germany finances 100 for them. As of today, a total of 20 units have already been delivered.

The German government has financed and delivered another five pick-up trucks & five cargo vans to Ukrainian Railways. The vehicles will be handed over to track maintenance crews, signalling staff & power engineers which are deployed after Russian attacks on their infrastructure.

It depends on what the Ukrainian operators want. If they already have an existing fleet of say Fiat vans including spare parts, experience, contracts with car repair firms etc. it makes much more sense to go with Fiat if they are happy instead of introducing a new car brand. Happens a lot!

Brief update on Germany's military assistance to Ukraine: Upon inquiry, a German MoD spokesperson informed me that besides other air defence supplies, this year Germany has also financed & supplied MANPADS, as well as spare parts packages for IRIS-T SLM/SLS & MIM-104 Patriot.

The 148th Artillery Brigade has shared a set of images showing Ukrainian forces firing modern RH1412 155mm shells via a Danish-donated Caesar howitzer. The RH1412 is Rheinmetall's newest 155mm shell and is manufactured on mass at their new factory in Unterlüß funded for example by Germany. /158

Remember a few months in the past with PAC-3 MSE? Germany transferred 5 (!) missiles with other users in all of Europe not willing to part with a total of 30 other ones. If we only ask to transfer 10 now, its because the situation with our own stocks is actually that bad.

Honestly, I disagree. Stocks have depleted as we have already given hundreds to Ukraine. We still have reserve for defence plus stocks in active usage for example in Turkey, where we currently protect airspace. We've asked to transfer 10 missiles, the US will allow the transfer of 10 missiles.

Thanks to a congressional record published on the 15th of September 2026, we now know that Germany plans to deliver a total of 10 PAC-2 GEM-T missiles to Ukraine once it has received US approval.
