The webinar is right around the corner — don’t miss it! Join us for “Do You Know Your Deaf Rights Under Medicare and Medicaid?”, hosted by Deaf Equality and Deaf Seniors of America (DSA). Learn about your rights, access to services, and what’s covered under Medicare and Medicaid.
The promotional graphic features a light blue background with dark blue text and icons. The headline reads “Do You Know Your Deaf Rights Under Medicare and Medicaid?” followed by the subtext “Come and learn your rights at a webinar hosted by Deaf Equality and DSA!” On the left side are calendar and clock icons listing the date (November 5, 2025) and time zones (12:30–2:00 PM PT, 1:30–3:00 PM MT, 2:30–4:00 PM CT, 3:30–5:00 PM ET). On the right side, it notes Moderator: Sherri Collins and lists presenters Howard Rosenblum, Anna Bitencourt, Zainab Alkebsi, Jacob Salem, and Lisa Bothwell. A captioning icon indicates “Workshop in ASL, voiced into English and captioned.” At the bottom are logos for Deaf Equality, Deaf Seniors of America (DSA), and Caption Anywhere with the line “Accessible Livestream Made Possible by Caption Anywhere.”

We are proud to stand with 800+ national, state, local, civil rights, education, and disability advocacy organizations in condemning the mass layoffs at the Department of Education (ED) — jeopardizing decades of progress in protecting students with disabilities.

On October 8, 2010, President Obama signed the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA) into law. The CVAA is a landmark law that brought us closer to equal access to modern communications for Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened people.

Deaf Equality isn’t local — we serve all 50 states, fighting for access nationwide.

35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act. A landmark. A legacy. A reminder that our fight for equality, access, and representation is not over. At @deafequality.bsky.social, we’re pushing forward — for policy, for justice, and for a future where access isn’t an afterthought.
I/D: Two hands in solidarity with text reading “35 Years of the ADA. Equality is STILL the fight.”
