iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

ALSO, what do you think happens to secret lairs with good uncommons/commons? Think they sell out fast now? lol, my friends... lol. Lairs will be a lot more demanding when you can't get that foil for less than the price of the lair itself. For a common.

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

My intention moving forward is to proxy anything that isn't a foil rare/mythic. Why pay for the real McCoy when what I want is foil, the thing I can't really replicate exactly with an offshoot? WotC/Hasbro are REALLY GOOD at shooting themselves in the foot for the Everyman. 6/

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Couple this with single-print runs for collector products. Foil commons and uncommons will become investments, which completely invalidates their rarity. I remember Top, Counterspell, and FoF being incredibly expensive foils. Buckle up, because it will be worse. 5/

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Mark my words, a year from now, some common and uncommon foils will vastly out price rares and mythics. Any special treatment/printing will see those foils demand two to three digit values rather than a few bucks. This hurts players for cards that SHOULDN'T be expensive. 4/

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Taking these away from normal packs while also dropping 3 from collector packs sends a massive price ripple to where common and uncommon foils will see massive price increases. Nauctis won't see a big change, but every set, the pack of supply will be more known, pushing prices harder. 3/

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

For many visual-based people, foils present a unique aspect and show dedication from graphic artists with layers, gradients, feathering, etc. it's incredibly appealing to see that shimmer and know right away that's a real magic card. 2/

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

@wotc-news.bsky.social has really sunk to a new low with the booster changes. Essentially eliminating foil commons and uncommons pushes players away as the prices for those cards will sky rocket. This is an overall net negative for the game. 1/

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I despise this because if you like foils, commons and uncommons will now be at an extreme premium. Single print runs, less slots for them, and higher pushed cards means it will be much more expensive to buy singles if you like foils. So why not just proxy if you can't get the unique aspect?

030

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Yes, but Brian, you can't look at the entirety and use those statistics to quantify the vast majority of players who only buy 1-2 collector boosters. Those players lose cards and factually pay more for less. Sure, the one player who gets that pack wins, while everyone else loses.

I like the copper as accents! Negative space is good and makes them stand out more.

"Gavin Newsom should be President!" The fuck he should. If this is the best the Dems can put together, the party will never upheave the grip the GOP has on our country. Newsom is slime.

Matt is a genuinely wonderful person. One of the reasons I love Critical Role so much is they're all GOOD people. So happy to see him come into the MtG scene! I hope to have him sign my Vincent some day. If we get a CritRole set/lair, I'm screwed lol

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

The zombies are legit killer, great job by the team selecting the cards. I unfortunately have never been drawn to zombies as a type, and with so many good cards releasing (and a new comp), I sadly just pass. Want that Wolvi, though. Nitpick - it should be Colonel, not Captain.

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

While I completely get it, make a proxy so she still gets a deck! Don't wait for WotC to MAYBE get it - make her dream a reality :) I don't know anything about KDH, but if you give me art and a card, I'll make the file!

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Nah, the game is just bad. Flat bad.

001

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

@mtgarena.com is a very weird game. Some days, you'll get good hands, good match ups, and an acceptable win/loss ratio. Other days, your hands are always garbage, you can't win any matches, and draw no lands. It's high time the daily "win 4" becomes "play 4 games to completion." Stop forcing wins.

I use mythic tools and love it for life tracking! How does the app help when I play Yawgmoth as my commander? (Which I do)

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Yep, I'm slotting it into my Dihada Aikido deck for sure!

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

That's what I'm doing! Good lands, too

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Good, but it's a terrible tragedy that this is something we have to praise now. One of the most cutthroat industries further fucking over devs/programmers because it's "cheaper" for AI to do it. I hope every person in the gaming industry unionizes.

Who was your first anime crush? Faye. Absolutely fell in love with her. The sass, strength, and of course the looks, were perfection.

Akira is totally in the movie, though...

This is a good idea! However, I don't think they have the power to implement that? Perhaps they could push on WotC to, though.

Collector boosters are for whales. Buy singles or packs to draft.

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Crim, you're quickly becoming my hero, man. I do hope to meet up with you one day to play some games, talk some comics, and hang. Keep doing everything you do!

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

@rhysticstudies.bsky.social dunno if you've seen this, but I felt obligated to tag you!

Lauren, this is amazing! Will you post when it's available online?

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Fyi, they have delays today so it doesn't start until 1pm, and the line was getting pretty long. Caution, the line is direct sun, so it's HOT and the UV is extreme today.

Thank you kindly! I spoke with a member of the convention center and they said basically the same thing.

@sdccblog.com hey there folks! For the first time, I scored convention center parking and I'm a little confused if I can take harbour drive during the closure to enter the garage. Do you folks have clarification on this? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I have plenty of issues with Newsom, but this is wonderful to see. It shouldn't be a celebration that your governor is defending the right to vote. What a dark time to be an American...

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

I decided to give Arena another go for Marvel. Like Final Fantasy, this is a huge moment for me. Booted up my first draft yesterday, drafting no rares, losing 2 of the first 3 games. Then stormed back and won my first Arena draft. Feels incredible. How did I win with this pile?

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

Couple years ago, I was waiting for a Minor Threats panel at SDCC and Mark was in front of us. We talked for 30-40 mins and he asked about any UB that would get my wife into the game. She said Hellboy and I immediately agreed with her. Mignola is the perfect subject matter for Magic

I'm excited for the Hulk lair!

Are there any other art cards you're having trouble finding? I bought my first collector box and I'm not an art-card guy so you're welcome to the few I have. Notibly I have #7 of the Thanos mural.

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

Living the dream, Crim. High school me is jealous as hell, old man me is exceptionally happy for you. No wonder the flavor is so good!

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Oh shit, rap battles with @thesixler.bksy? Now we just need Harmon with Spencer to get some old-school raps in!

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Honestly Galactus SHOULD be the commander because one swords shouldn't stop him! However, I'm terrified of having a 10 mana commander on the zone 😅 Molecule man would absolutely be the nuts, but Surfer is too thematic, and makes sure you always get Galactus. Thanks for the input!

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Crim, as a fellow Marvel lover, who should I build as my eldrazi/celestial commander? Secret lair Iron Man, birthing pod bigger rocks and drawing into Galactus? Or full colorless Norrin Radd with G-Man as the secret commander?

110

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Honest question: is it worth doing every uncommon? Many of them would never be commanders, so you could probably drop most and only mention the gems. I highly doubt anyone would care and think we'd understand the amount is overwhelming for one video.

100

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 13/06/2026

Bob, Bullseye, and Typhoid Mary are all slotting into Deadpool for me!

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

Hell yes dude! I'm finishing up my Cap rework with only Avengers, and looking at Iron Man as my Eldrazi/Celestial (Galactus) commander. So many cool things coming from this set. Still gotta figure out new cards for Deadpool. Typhoid Mary and Bob are for sure locks! Link to T-Bolts?

000

DeadpoolVII @deadpoolvii.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

So pumped that you get to show one of the decks, Crim! You deserve it. Hope you're enjoying the Marvel set as much as I am!
