For future reference, CMLL's broadcasting rights are separate from their booking fees - unless a promoter explicitly says that a match involving CMLL talent is going to be streamed, it's either getting uploaded later or not shown at all. IWGR in particular almost never does.

I desperately need AEW fans to stop saying that people that are underutilized in AEW/ROH should "just" go to CMLL because it gives away the fact that folks don't know the size of CMLL's own roster and that you think of CMLL as AEW's developmental brand.

Whether it's intended or not, you're making the CMLL world HW feel lesser than because the bulk of your audience does, in fact, treat belts like a big deal. It would be like suggesting that some AEW champ should go get shaved in CMLL because in AEW hair stips aren't seen as the top achievement.

People point out that "belts don't matter in CMLL" as an answer to concerns about Hechicero's booking in AEW, but wrestlers should be booked according to intended perception of the promotion they're currently featured in - most AEW fans aren't watching him in CMLL!

I'm very partial to the crowd of Soberano Jr's comeback match last year - very hot crowd that ate up every single thing Soberano did. One of those crowds that elevates a match by being so hungry for what they're seeing unfold (with the caveat that CMLL's sound sucks as always).

How CMLL books them at home is irrelevant, talent should be booked according to the values/perception of the audience of the promotion receiving them - you can't just tell people a wrestler is a big deal then show something that is contrary to what they understand a big deal to be.
