A monumental thing that Amazing Spider-Man has hit 1000 issues, very pleased with my Alex Ross variant cover.

Alien VS X-Men took out some big names very early. Loved issue 1 and can't wait to see where it goes.

Kicking off October with some Lucio Fulci* 80s zombie silliness *but actually Bruno Mattei

Also got the whole movie gang together for Street Fighter in a couple of weeks and i'm gassed for that one

Digger getting very divisive reviews, I'm booked for a Saturday evening showing and i'm going in open minded.

Realised Midnight X-Men starts next week and I cannot wait to get my hands on that book. I also have Aliens V X-Men so October is shaping up tp be a very spooky month for the mutants.

Fair play to those who like the Clone Saga but to me it's peak bad 90's comic book stuff that ran for FAR too long. Ben Riley is a great thing to come of it but thats a poor result from a story that ran over a year of multiple Spider-Man titles.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

That Spider-Man Clone Saga tv show is going to be a real stinker if it happens. Clearly someone at Sony saw Lanterns and went what if we did that but with awful source material and not to use Peter Parker due to rights issues. Spider Noir ruled but this just isn't it, Sony need to lose this IP now.

The whole LP is a beauty. Matt Taylor provided some stellar art and design to it and I love the gatefold image of the Enterprise facing off against the Reliant. The sound mixing on the score is also top notch.

In a big Star Trek mood as of late. This is a real gem in the collection, the "Mutara Nebula" Wrath of Khan LP from Mondo. Quite a rare vinyl now as it's long out of print. James Horner did such great work on Trek and the main theme along with the "Spock" cue are real stand out tracks.

Another dream set from Arrow Video added to the collection

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I felt some characters got a little sidelined like Ortegas and Pike but some great moments for L'ann and Uhura. I'll be sad to see it go as its been great to have a Star Trek show that I have loved season after season in the modern era. Roll on Season 5 amd hopefully a great finale.

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Overall thoughts on Strange New Worlds season 4 are positive. I'll admit it was HEAVY on the gimmick episodes but I think the final season will balance out with more traditional Trek style episodes. I thought the finale was a real treat as a long time trekkie. I also liked most of the gimmicks.

They have a solid foundation and young core team but it's missing something that could sling them out of mediocrity and back on top. Need some games to get a good idea of what works with the new additions and then focus on the trade window to add whats needed and come back swinging in the 27/28 run

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Nothing like seeing all the new season predictions for the Chicago Bulls & the unanimous opinion that they will suck for another year. I want to have faith in this team but it's a realistic prediction from eveyone that they will place like 13th in the East. As I keep saying, theres always next year.

Silent Hill: Townfall has exceptional mood and ambience. Love the location and it's central mystery has me hooked. The score is also a real standout especially as it's not a Yamaoka composition, Pilotpriest have done stellar work. The puzzles are also real fun to solve and the enemies are terrifying

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Very eager to get into this one.

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

In fact I loved it so much my order is already locked in for the Steelbook 4K. Its a film I can happlily see re watching many times. An absolute blast.

My personal verdict on Cregger's Resident Evil is that he should be allowed to make at least 3 more of those. Nailed his intention of the player going through the game. He also made resource managment a key plot point and the gore was spectacular. Austin Abrams was fanstastic in his role. Loved it.

Hype for this is off the charts, and I get to see it with some fellow RE fanatic mates

It has that throwback era hack and slash gameplay and I cant say i'm dissapointed it's not open world as I wasn't expecting that, I think it's linear nature fits very well and its like a sharper updated version of Wolverine Origins on the PS3/360 and thats more than fine by me.

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Had a couple of hours on Wolverine last night. I'm liking it, I understand some of the negative critical points but I think some was blown up to seem worse than it is. I however am finding a lot to like and will be going back to it this weekend for a good old playthrough.

Been thoroughly enjoying the Brent Spiner & Jonathan Frakes Podcast on the way to work this week. Did the LeVar Burton, Sam Witwer & Seth MacFarlane episodes and they all had such gokd stories to tell. Its also got a great relaxed conversational tone. Looking forward to the Michael Dorn episode.

I've also saved this weeks Lanterns episode for my days off & there is a new Strange New Worlds dropping this evening. I'm all set in full geek mode.

Got a weekend off starting now and its all for Wolverine and Resident Evil. 13 year old me would not believe it.

Brings the biggest smile to my face that Cregger's Resident Evil is getting critical acclaim. I'm so ready to see it tomorrow.

A very funny time indeed. Another great release to have warched this weekend. Also seeing Tony on Tuesday so this was great prep.

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

5 bagger. Loved it. A brilliant and unique look at horror nostalgia, sexual anxiety and Slaher tropes. Could be my favourtite of the year.

Tonight at the flicks. Very excited for this one.

Fantastic horror for the digital age. Also a very interesting twist on Faces of Death as a concept. Really dug it.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Glad to see Phantom Blade 0 has diffrent difficulty options. I really liked the look of it but worried it would be Soulsborne level hard and i'd have to give it a miss.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Wolverine is less than a month away and i've got a whole weekend booked off to play it AND the new Resident Evil is out in cinemas that weekend. Thats really something to look forward to.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Watching a classic British flick on 4K. Been a while, last watch was from a free DVD with the newspaper my dad bought I think when I was about 14 I think.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Also the guy doing the hack makes demands I can't disagree with. Digital pre orders are pointless and i'm a fierce physical media defender and collector. If this is the action it takes to light a fire under the games industry big shots then i'm behind it.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

The GTA leak is wild. Sure it wont hurt Rockstar too much but early build gameplay being shown a week before your big (Paywalled) gameplay reveal must sting.

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Some Romero classic up on deck next. Love the library cues to Dawn even more than Goblin's soundtrack. Both are belended together very well in the "Cannes" Cut of Dawn of The Dead.

000

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

These arrived fast. Cant wait to dive in to both. Expecting a big finale form Exquisite Corpses and more mind bending from Assorted Crisis Events. Great couple of books and i've got Absolute Martian Manhunter Vol. 2 to look forward to next week.

In memory of Reggie Bannister. Popping on the Waxwork 3LP Phantasm score and Unused Cues. Not given this one a proper stretch and it is such a varied and strange score. VERY 70's.

100

Joshua Thomas @deadagain93.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Next up, the long out of print Waxwork pressing of Manhunter. Snapped this one up as soon as it was made available as it's one of my all time favourote soundtracks of the 80's.
