This whole Epstein story is like a nightmare version (moreso) of the It's A Small World ride populated with the worst, powerful people across the globe. Even when they aren't implicated in Epstein's crimes, you get connections to murderers decades later. How!?

Months later, she was charged with six counts of forgery for writing bad checks, a crime she had been accused of in the past as well. Signing off on the charges was then-Solicitor Randolph “Buster” Murdaugh Jr., the grandfather of convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh.

Great article that encapsulates everything wrong or stupid about Trump's tariffs. This excerpt in particular drills down into the inevitable, catastrophic results of his policies. Worth the read.

None of this adds up, either. Even if you think some good outcomes might result from producing far fewer plastic toys, lots of quality jobs won’t be one of them. Indeed, the opposite would happen, these industry officials tell me: Because toy companies also employ lots of higher-end professions like design and marketing—and these are the jobs that are concentrated in the United States already—producing far fewer toys would kill many of those good American jobs, while creating far fewer bad manufacturing jobs in their place.

I was very happy and proud to see Westerville turn out for the #HandsOff protest. I didn't get a good picture, but there were probably around one thousand people lining the street for a couple blocks. And this is the town that voted for John Kasich for years.

How have I not heard this anywhere else? This is infuriating and evil. Removing funding for cancer research hurts every human being. I can't even imagine what group Trump, or the people whispering in his ear, are trying to target with this action.

Trump’s cancellation of NIH grant review panels, as Forbes reports, includes the $7.1 billion annual budget for the National Cancer Institute: “of which more than $3 billion a year is allocated directly towards research for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer, which causes over 600,000 deaths in the U.S. every year.” The NCI supports 72 different cancer centers.

Freezing national funding for cancer research is sadistic.
