If you listened to our last episode (or have looked at the timeline of Dan Bejar's music) you know that the next album up is not by Destroyer, but The New Pornographers. This is a problem because Dat Dude will NOT be describing Destroyer. Luckily we foresaw this issue. Behold our new art:

Listened to the Thief ep while getting two fillings and a crown at the dentist yesterday
The dentist asked what podcast I was listening to and I was like "it's a podcast about a band called Destroyer" and then she asked who it was by and I was like "a... couple guys"
I guess she expected me to say Conan O'Brien or Travis Kelce or something

This Monday, September 21 (probably) we release our third episode, covering Destroyer’s third album Thief! LP2 was a massive jump up from LP1 and Thief continues the trend, hugely improving over City of Daughters. A shame about the album cover, which looks like if Space Channel 5 sucked ass

A band’s first album is often their best, representing years of practice playing gigs and writing songs—the album is their chance to show off the fruit of all that work. Destroyer’s first album is not that. Dan Bejar decided to just record 16 songs for fun without learning how to play anything yet
