The latest issue of JMBE is out - Perspective articles therein explain the updates to ASM's guidelines for undergraduate microbiology courses (journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/...) & review learning objectives that support guidelines for undergraduate virology courses (journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/...).

Development of learning objectives to support undergraduate virology curriculum guidelines | Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education

The discipline of microbiology is extremely broad as it encompasses the study of microscopic organisms and entities. The field of virology is a specialized area of study within the field of microbiology. Due to the complexity of virology as a field, herein we describe the development of curriculum guidelines and associated example learning objectives to help educators teach virology.
