Love taskpaper! Wish the format was more widely adopted. My proj: Helping people connect through hopes and wishes. WIP at wish-well.art Installation and show in two weeks in tribeca NYC. Wish me luck! Thoughts welcome. I have many reservations on where it's at but there's a gem of an idea...

IDK - the lack of compelling apps is really the core of their problems. I hope they fund more indie studios to make cool and weird stuff, to find killer apps. But the risk of building on FB? They'd have to cover 100% of the costs. The article is the usual BI BS about hype cycles

@thatcymraes.bsky.social less new users coming in, not sure if that's down to organic invites not being given out... last i heard was a 2M waiting list

if each account had a block/follow ratio shown, would that incite mob rule? maybe each AT instance will just be a different mob / moderation algo

also would be nice to just focus on a timerange, since the first few months were very slow. eg GROWTH IS LEVELING OFF!!! did they stop giving out invite codes?

weird. 100% repro as empty for me - also tried different chrome profile. There's a bunch of script tags outside the html? i thought they should be outside body for async loading but not sure about body. (b̶u̶i̶l̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ debugging in public)

Do you think trending should be algorithmic to avoid repeats? Then it's more like curated than really numbers based. I also wondered if it was already curated badly to distort and reflect owners view Interested in the custom ranking algos as well as moderation we'll see ahead.

A 🧵🧵 I find current bsky official client model of threaded chat a bit hard to follow across monkey jumps. When do we break for a "continue thread..." ? 🪡 Could one of the alt clients use HN style indent threads? ALT with sauces
