HIT is one of the most effective academic supports, improving students' skills, test scores, attendance, & confidence! 62.4% of DC students are below grade level in literacy, 73.6% are below grade level in math, and 40% are chronically absent–we need to support our kids with programs that work.

Last year, Friendship Armstrong grew their ELA proficiency rates by 4.5 percentage points for elementary school students & 4.3 percentage points for middle school students, and Armstrong Middle was recognized as a Bold School for how they're moving the needle for students furthest from opportunity.
