I know we pay a lot per litre here, but it's hard to calcuate how much per gallon because US and UK gallons are different sizes!!! And I'm not going to atrophy my brain by asking an AI. I think we're paying between $6.25 and $6.75 per US gallon.

The "AI race" would be a good thing in functioning democracies with oversight and regulations, and people had a say in how things are done. We do not have that. Companies are allowed to release unfinished and largely untested products to the public when they might or might not cause serious harm.

WHY is everyone upset? Inequality. It's so obvious. This is US data, but same happened worldwide. In the 70s-80s the economy became rigged - tax cuts, deregulation, unions broken, etc - and all gains started going to the wealthiest. In the US $79 TRILLION was transferred away from working people.

The "Zionism is racism" motion, to be debated at the Green Party conference tomorrow, will not advance the Palestinian cause one inch. But, if adopted, it would marginalise and discredit the party. There are powerful ways to confront the genocide. Toxic gesture politics isn't one of them.

These companies are publicly saying they think it is OK if their products do "bad things" to the public -- and Republicans are saying they'll let them "self-regulate." I hope people hear this before they vote.
