During the Fluxes of Reactive Organic Gases in NY (FROG-NY) project we used eddy covariance to measure the fluxes of a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) over an urban footprint on Long Island, NY.

These were *volunteer* science advisory committees that provided NASA with independent perspective and community guidance ... explain to me how eliminating these is a way to "reduce waste and abuse"

The Permian oil-producing basin in the Southwest US stands out as the strongest ethane hotspot on the planet. Analysis of the CrIS data suggests that this single basin accounts for at least 4-7% of the global ethane source
