This morning we rescued 14 cats and a dog that had been abandoned in a trailer with no heat, food/water. A neighbor went up last night to get some heat and food to the animals. Went 3 miles up a seasonal road by snowmobile, we retrieved all but 2 cats, we left traps for them. We’ll check in the AM.

Remus came to us as a very scared stray cat. After overcoming a respiratory infection and trusting us, he likes to vocally respond his contentment. Volume up. #caturday #adoptdontshop

“Latte” was captured on Thursday from the same location we captured “Espresso” two months ago at. Espresso was recently adopted, hopefully Latte will go soon. Both blind kittens are/were extremely affectionate and friendly, which is amazing considering where they came from. #caturday #adoptdontshop

We have a cat with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). “Wobbles” is the sweetest cat and she gets along with all of our other cats, even our German Shepherd. Someone needs to adopt these beautiful cats. Their special needs make them even more adorable.

On occasion we would take some of our kittens to residents at a long term care facility. It was tons joy and cuddles for everyone and good socializing for the kittens. Happy #Caturday.

Besides the occasional cat or dog photo, because they are my real job, I may post a Van Halen photo, some never seen before.

It was a good day at the shelter. We adopted out 5 cats and a dog. For a facility run by two of us it was busy. For “Espresso”, a kitten who stole my heart, she went to her forever home! She was born in the wild with no eyes and is a true survivor.

My first post on this pleasant platform. Almost as content as our cat “Wobbles” to leave the BS over on Twitter/X.
