So I'm currently vibe coding a new PDF Viewer for Tutti that is built on top of the PDFKit utility classes. GPT-5 is so far doing really well. I've started to settle into a flow: Vibe code a small piece of functionality, and then review the code to find ways to simplify and reduce complexity.

New in SFSymbols for iOS 26, Draw effects!! Five beautiful examples.. stay till the end for the code sample. First up, "rainbow" with .symbolRenderingMode(.multicolor). Symmetrical symbols draw outward from the center.

So apparently sharing a video using an iCloud link in a group iMessage chat causes the iMessage app to freeze and hang for all participants in the group chat. Effectively breaking iMessage for everyone in the chat. You've been warned. Fantastic start to the day!

I've been using App Playgrounds a lot more recently to prototype SwiftUI components. One problem I kept running into was that the app playground was being set with a default minimum target of iOS 16, with no obvious way of changing this within the Xcode GUI. 🧵
