iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Oh I've been there way too much recently

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 30/09/2026

It's got me debating walking away and going back to like 4 years or so ago before I even fully engaged with and joined the fandom instead of just lurking. I don't know what's changed, but things just seem so much harder as of recent and it's hitting really hard in the rejection sensitivity.

Ooof, bad thoughts been taking over a lot again lately. Not really felt my 'regular self' properly in a few months now. Mostly days haven't been *TERRIBLE* but I've just had a general sense of disconnection and isolation most evenings at home when I'm online.

Most of those were from Graveyard Kerper 2's launch last week, letting people know how to move their demo save over to the full game on Linux/Steam Deck etc. 😂 They didn't get automatically picked up as proton makes seperate environments with their own appdata folders for each steamapp ID

Every email from steam has got me on edge now 😭 Got me twice in one day.. I see 'congratulations' and get excited just to be let down again

When I get nothing but just random friends requests like this it genuinely baffles me just how many friends or announcements I see about people in servers I see getting hacked.

000

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 29/09/2026

Nope, nothing yet. Last thing I heard was the same email you would have got when you first got waitlisted (if you didn't win the draw from the start). Basically "some might become free, we'll let you know if/when." No other official updates on further restocks/waves yet.

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 29/09/2026

There are so many obvious warnings signs of discord scammers, account made this year, 0 mutual servers OR big public (usually VR) ones they've never posted in or have any sort of verified/purchase role, I always ignore. But I did laugh at how self aware this one was about their low effort profile.

Assuming the frame page may eventually update like that too when the initial batch fully clears and they get an idea of how quick production can refill and start processing the waitlist. But they'll certainly email/make a big announcement if they do.

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 29/09/2026

The second batch of the controller then started with the lottery plus queue system and account Eligibility restrictions. And after a while they updated and gave you a rough estimate of a couple month time frame if this year or just "2027" which is what I had.

100

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 29/09/2026

Yes, so the queue system that the machine and frame use came as a result of the shit show that was the controller release with scalpers making extra dummy accounts and stuff and buying up all the first wave before people had a chance.

110

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 29/09/2026

The estimates were only for the controller after the initial mess when they launched it without the lottery. They haven't given any queue positions out for the frame yet on other than if you have a reservation or on the waitlist.

Just got trolled by valve. Got an email this morning for "confirm your purchase details" and hoping it was the steam frame... Nope turns out it was for the controller, which when I checked literally yesterday my estimated date in waitlist was still 2027

Here’s 13th to 16th. Will put my hand up and say I spent longer on some of the others before these. But I just want to finish getting through one per day for the rest of the month and then I’ll spend more time on care/detail/improvement.

Here’s batch 3 from 9th to 12th. Hopefully they upload correctly first time x3

Huh, looks like these never uploaded to bsky properly… it looked fine when I initially posted but they all look like blank images now. Here’s a reupload. Will get 9-12 up later

Registered for the Steam Frame randomised waitlist :3 Let's see how lucky I am in a few days...

Yeah... It's just a lot easier to drive 3 hours west to Birmingham than fly over to Malmö 😂 And if I got a roommate for CFz at this point the plan was likely to do both anyway.

010

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 14/09/2026

Less than a week to find a new roommate for Confuzzled before the lottery closes. Pretty much accepted I'm probably sitting next year out (shame cause the racing theme looked really neat). Got my eyes focused on NFC instead, should get to see a lot more friends I've not met IRL before.

Thanks to everyone for the support from my last post. Here's the next batch of daily practice sketches from 5th-8th. Just over a quarter of the way there now :3 Maybe I could start my own little hashtag with this called sketchtember or something hehe

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 06/09/2026

Thanks <3 Just trying to keep it casual/low pressure for this first month just to get used to putting pen to paper (or pencil to iPad). After I'm used to that, I'll start looking more into tips for shapes/proportions/ a bit more theory so that's when I'll be looking for help/recommendations :3

030

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 06/09/2026

Thanks <3 I know I won't eventually be able to keep at it EVERY day, but that's at least my goal for September just for little warm up sketches getting back into the swing of things. I'll probably bring it down to like finish something once a week.

🔞Dazzle (and Pyre) @dazzlefur.me · 06/09/2026

So I've been starting to practice my drawing again. It's been about a year since I properly picked up a pen and had a go. Now trying to do at least one drawing once a day and will be sharing here in batches of 4 to try make myself stick to it. So here are the first 4 from start of the month.

Good news is I MIGHT be able to do NFC if the person I'd be potentially going with confirms before reg opens. EF is still very much a whole knows 🤷

Con lineup for next year not looking great. Failed to find a roommate for scotiacon and realistically can't really put anything together now. Just lost my usual CFz roommate 5 days before reg opens so that's not looking likely unless I can find someone else 🥲

And for XIV I just love that XIV launcher is native and just handles all the wine prefixes for the game automatically.

I've not been back to any battlenet games for a while but I was just using faugus launcher at the time to handle my battlenet launcher on linux. Had the launcher itself had the occasional crash but when you got the games running it was fine.
