This has been an issue with the Cavs for a couple years, specifically in this window of championship contention. They just lack the physicality, especially inside. If they can't figure that out, they are not going anywhere.

Literally every Civil War documentary: voiceover reading a letter from a union soldier explaining why they are fighting with a sad fiddle playing in the background. Matt Walsh: "We need to go to the source!"

Oceangate Documentary Videographer (in reference to Stockton Rush): "He was a genius." We need to shutdown the word "genius" until we can figure out what the term actually means.

3. and they want to reprioritize the reasons for growth. For example, GDP is one measurement we use to determine whether a country is growing and the economy is good, but this often misses how regular people view the state of the economy.

2. either you accept abundance and improve the quality of life or embrace degrowth and starve the world. But from my limited understanding of the degrowth movement, I do not think it is a fair framing of their position. From what I understand, they are against growth for growth's sake,

1. I think the one sentence that frames Abundance's opinion of the degrowth movement is the following: "We will not turn back climate change by persuading the world to starve itself of growth." This frames the degrowth movement as a binary;

6. So why would you include this information without contextualizing it? You can't simultaneously present yourself as well-versed in the subject and continue to tout disinformation about the industry.

5. but when it comes time to actually build and use the land, a turbine will only take up a couple acres at most. So you will have a project lease possibly thousands of acres, but only actually use a tiny fraction of the actual land.

4. In other words, though wind and solar (and especially wind) need a lot of land to start with, the ultimate footprint is far smaller. For example, when developing a wind project, the developer will initially lease an entire parcel or series of parcels,

3. Not cited in "Abundance" is the very next sentence in the Princeton Report which reads: "Lands directly impacted by wind and solar farms (e.g. with roads, turbine pads, solar arrays, inverters, and substations) are only a fraction of the total site area: about 40,000 km2..."

2. Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Tennessee." This is a common false accusation by opponents of wind and solar; i.e. wind and solar are impractical because they take up too much land! Look at all of those states!

1. "Abundance" cites the Interim Report of 'Net Zero America' from Princeton University to state that: "[a] plausible path to decarbonization sees wind and solar installations spanning up to 590,000 square kilometers. That is roughly equal to the landmass of

2. b. it strawmans the degrowth movement; c. it fails to adequately address any of the bottlenecks in the energy development process; and d. it prioritizes things like AI much more than things that democrats should be touting (i.e. reliability and affordability).

1. As a person who works in renewable energy, I feel like I should wade into the 'Abundance' discussion. My review of the book in regards to renewable energy and the energy industry in general is that; a) it makes some spurious claims about the path to a full renewable energy future;

Absolutely, I think if the Dems had shown any evidence that they will respond in a way that meets the moment recently, there would be less gnashing of teeth.

One of the more indelible memories for me from Game 7 of that series is Lue bawling into a towel after they won. Guy gave it his all.
