He can be annoying too ! Licks Lohen's cheek and books it out of there. Catch him if you can.

He didn't persist. This was Lohen's decision to make. If he wasn't yet ready to see his parents, there was no point in pressuring him. And besides, if things didn't work out, Dahlia would've been at fault. He followed Lohen, easily catching up with him. +

" Maybe they had other plans for you, but I'm sure they're proud. Even if they don't know how to express it right now. They'll come around eventually. They'll understand that this is your calling. " He pat Lohen's shoulder again, trying to be a supportive friend. But in truth, he didn't +

It's nighttime. Which mean he's going out to hunt for some fresh blood. Probably a stray treasure hoarder, or maybe one of those pesky Fatui agents. No one will know who was the attacker anyway. ✨

Dahlia's smile disappeared as well, as he listened to Lohen speak. Each confession sadder than the last. He sighed, taking a seat on the rock next to his friend, his gaze pinned forward, but not quite looking. He was lost in thought, trying to pick the best words to reassure the other. +

" They're your parents. They'll recognise you in the blink of an eye. " he reached out, patting Lohen's shoulder. " I'm sure they've liked you all along. Maybe they had trouble showing it, but no parent dislikes their own child. "

He pushed himself away from the rock, standing next to Lohen. " Why wouldn't it be ? They're your parents. I'm sure they'll be delighted to see you after all this time. "

Dahlia blinked a few time, smiling innocently. He wasn't afraid of Lohen, even if he knew his friend was a little ... eratic. " Not much. Just you, sitting there. Probably deciding whether to knock on the door, or not. "

" Of course. What, did you think I wasn't concerned about you ? " That genuine smile makes Dahlia smile as well, mindful to keep his fangs hidden. Lohen doesn't know his secret yet. Though, knowing him, he would be excited. " You found a new group of them to terrorise ? " he laughs a little. +

Dahlia can see right through him, but decides not to call him out on it. He seems upset enough as is. " I snuck out for a morning walk. " he shrugs. Which wasn't entirely a lie. " But nevermind me. How are you holding up, now that you're back in Mondstadt ? "

Rushed footsteps echo behind him, until Dahlia catches up with him. " You okay ? " He'd seen Lohen sitting outside the house.

Dahlia peeked out from his hiding spot, grinning at the Vice Captain. " Thought you might need a surprise shower, since it's so hot today ! " In reality, he was just playing a silly prank on his friend. Which wasn't exactly unusual. He'd done this many times in the past.

" Hm. That much is true. I haven't had any complaints about you since your return. " He was sucking on the candy while talking, not realising this was all part of Lohen's elaborate plan to ... cause trouble. Who even knew what his intentions were at this point ? +

" We both know you're the type to do that. " he held up a finger, waving it as if tutoring while sucking on the candy he was given. Being half human, he could easily taste the sour apple flavour of the outer shell. In fact, he could consume any human food and not get sick. Which was a blessing. +

" Is it safe, or are you trying to poison me again ? " A small, playful laugh. Before taking a small ball and throwing it in his mouth. Not that human candy could affect a Dhampir, even if it was bad or poisoned.
