Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 21hi do not feel like making a separate account so unfortunately if you follow for story you're also getting fat pony. (tagged and flagged but I'm not making a different account. you get to curate your own feeds) 010
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 01/10/2026was looking at how much it would be to get more of my brush pens... dude i got this exact set for 8.99... pastels it is for me i guess 000

Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 25/09/2026i appreciate that! fwiw it's not lack of experience, but i try to keep everything on this account traditional art to kinda separate it from my main account - that being said, i haven't touched my screen tablet or art programn in like weeks bc of my job. paper and paint pens are easier to pick up ig? 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 07/09/2026i have nothing normal to say quite frankly. i have erased and retyped a cute little title five times now. 011

Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 04/09/2026working mostly with traditional art stuff does not make it easier (though I know of some methods to keep stuff similar enough) I've seen a lot of very cool pony art peices which makes me wanna explore more art mediums... 130
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 04/09/2026i wish i could do ychs or something but truthfully my luck with commissions is bad and i would want to keep everything very private. most payment services like knowing everything about you so. idk what i can do about that. maybe someday I'll have a ko-fi or something but i don't know really 130
Reposted by DayglowFilly @filly.bsky.social · 29/08/2026everymare, some sort of mutable freak. she turns into other things, even other ponies with surprising accuracy, but she's lazy and noncommittal about it so she'll often default to this base form instead of the one she made. she's not supposed to exist. i dont usually upload pen and paper but here 083
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 26/08/2026"why no sushi?" poor, lives in midwest(???) state, uhhhhhh yeah. mostly money but also our town has one(1) barely passing sushi place. the fish is edible but I get a togo cup when i ask for soy sauce to dip sushi in instead of a dedicated lil dip plate thing. 010
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 26/08/2026context for my atrocious cuisine btw: mushrooms grilled in pan with generic "Japanese bbq" seasoning on rice with soy sauce and liquid version of aforementioned "Japanese bbq" seasoning drizzled under and over everything for taste. I have devoured so many mushrooms... 010
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 26/08/2026luxury of good sushi being expensive + sushi in general being wildly filling for how small it is + food I actually genuinely enjoy to eat = wonderful fantasy material. also sake is good. i have no problems whatsoever (lie) 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 26/08/2026also yes i am thinking about how filling the white rice in most suhsi rolls is... i love sushi dates for good reason. I'll have my sashimi and you can enjoy however many rice-filled rolls your little heart desires<3 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I've been making some. like barely counts as even Japanese inspired cooking, and am reminded of Sushi/sashimi. I miss my raw fish. 110
Reposted by DayglowFilly @filly.bsky.social · 26/08/2026here's that sketch sheet. i might end up doing another one sooner than later if i have any tiny ideas or characters i just need to draw about. 061
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 24/08/2026true, I could also do a "sun-flower"; like some sort of fictional glowing flower (i feel like FiM had stuff like that, where it would be a pun on a real object, reinterpreting the name to be more literal?) 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 24/08/2026realistically I'm probably going to use G3 Sunny Daze as inspiration; though I'd love to lean into "dayglow" referencing uv fluorescents that glow in daylight. I just was hoping there would be more interesting cm designs out there I could use as really loose inspo 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Trying to figure out a cutie mark for dayglow and I'm in the trenches. the three sun-themed ponies in g4 have either bizzarely abstracted sun motifs (sunburst wtf is your cutie mark supposed to mean...) or It's Just The Sun. 120
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 23/08/2026honestly though, i feel like I see the vision! I think like something like that would look really really cool (i haven't gotten to that guy in deltarune yet, but I remember seeing the design), making some of the details a stark white on a tantabus-like design would go hard methinks 010
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 23/08/2026tl;dr if you made a sona in the same kind of valley of 'morphable' pony, I'd genuinely adore to see what you come up with! with what amount of designs I've seen you do in the time I've been following you, i feel like it'd be really really cool!! 111
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 23/08/2026as someone with at least 5 different ponysonas, having one that is just 'vaguely (aspect)' it's very freeing to not worry about being "on model" all the time. kind of like a 5-dimensional object or smthn. every slice is just a different look at the same guy, if that makes any sense at all. 111
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 23/08/2026that means a lot to hear!! the blending aspect is honestly 90% on the markers (tombow); fwiw, you made a post not long ago about wanting to be many different things at one point and I wanted to say "omg same hat!!" but didn't wanna come across like.. idk as weird? genuinely- 111
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 22/08/2026fwiw the Celestia color palette is not intentional, it's just fun colors to play with (all of them) the design is intentionally just not actually tied down or consistent. 010
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 22/08/2026inner tube dayglow inspired by tge mlp cards... I don't have a white gelly roll to do the inner tube highlights unfortunately... (also I'm bad at traditional art transparency rip) 131
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 18/08/2026the colors are slightly closer irl but unfortunately i have like 8 colors and am bad at color theory without using the spaghetti therum ("whatever sticks") so she's a bit more ourple than her ref i apologize >>; 110
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 18/08/2026genuinely i was really hoping you'd lend me a pony!! ^^ was struggling with getting my marker colors right (misremembered what my darker purple was...) but had an interesting idea of an endless 'leaking' art gallery (that the fictional leaks into 'reality') 142

Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 11/08/2026really really want to draw other people's ponies... idk, if you're comfortable with wildly varying qualities of scribbles of your horse in backroom-adjacent areas drop a ref of some kind below? i have pencils and water markers at my disposal for now... 432
Dayglow @dayglow.bsky.social · 10/08/2026it's actually really touching to me that you feel that way! it's unfortunate that the only thing that's made me be able to properly articulate anything about the feeling is weed (expensive locally). It was nice to get a weird type of grip on the sensation though, lol, even if only for a bit. 010
