Changelog entries with a Bluesky or X (Twitter) preview post will now display a clickable icon. 🧐 Clicking it copies the link instantly so you can open it right in your browser. 🔗 For example if you ever try this on 0.6.2's, you will come to this thread. 😉

Retroactive Main Chat ⏪ This is a small quality of life update, but "Apply to Main Chat" will now work retroactively. Emotes and rolls already currently on your screen will automatically reformat when you toggle it or change your name display settings.

Names in NPC speech bubbles! 💬 "Format NPC Dialogue" (Adv. Formatting tab) now display your chosen (RP) name right inside the NPC speech bubbles. 🎉 You're no longer doomed to be just 'Johnsw', but you can be referred to as the one and only true 'John Stormwind'. 😉

Last but not least (of the noteworthy changes)! 🎉 Hovering over an NPC will no longer wipe the current history you were viewing. 🫡 NPCs are real yappers, but Eavesdropper is player-focused. So it was accidentally trying to show you a chat history that did not exist. (Oops) 🫣

The Main window now correctly hides the New Message Indicator when you switch targets (focus/mouseover/target). 🫣 Because it did not immediately wipe, it might've felt like it stayed longer, because other new messages coming in (after the switch) would add their own timer to it. 🧐

The new Mentions tab of Eavesdropper 0.6.0.

Showcasing how it is tied to the current keywords you have, with each row having a "Jump to Context" button at the front.

This button leads you to that specific written post in that person's Dedicated Window, so surrounding context can easily be identified.

Each and every window has a recognizable icon that shows if it's the Main, Dedicated, Group or Mention Window. Keeping them recognizable even when multiple ones are close to one another.

Each window also features a new thin scrollbar, popping out when you hover over it.

Showcasing the way the Player List option works in the Group Windows title-bar menu.

Easily add your target with "Add Target' at the top, while removing and re-adding (if accidental) players.

Hovering over a player also shows a button to open their Dedicated Window to quickly see all their messages together.

Fixes! 🛠️ - 's & ", " starting emotes will now properly display. - Dedicated Window broken "Rename" removed. - "Format NPC Dialogue" turns itself off when 'Total RP 3: RP Name in Quest Text' (addon) is detected & used. - Scrolling in Main Window froze timestamps & messages.

The "Advanced Formatting" tab, showcasing the "Format NPC Dialogue" option. Which makes an NPC use your own name instead of your OOC name. But now updated to state that if the addon 'Total RP 3: RP Name in Quest Text' is found & activated, it will sit back and let it handle the name changing.

Changes! 📣 - Full French translation! - Performance improvements (Chat & RP names refresh faster!) - "Name Display" override on every window, default "Follow Profile Settings". - Group & Mentions can show up to 1000 messages. - Main window now has optional new message flash.

On the Groups tab, we see the History Size slider which can be changed to a lot more than Main & Dedicated (1000 instead of 300).

Name Display override for Main / Blizzard Chat! 💬 Not strictly a new feature, but if you prefer to see just the first name in Blizzard's chat while using Full Name in Eavesdropper that's now possible. Also some minor redesigning of the Advanced Formatting page, see below.

The "Advanced Formatting" tab, we see the "Apply to Main Chat" setting and its tooltip. This toggle enables the advanced formatting to apply to the Main Chat (Blizzard Chat) window as well.

Clickable Senders for Groups & Mentions! 🎉 Hovering over a name will show it underlined, informing you it can be right-clicked. It'll bring up the unit menu so you can quickly whisper, invite or make a Dedicated Window with them. This'll enable some quicker interactions.

Dedicated & Group Persistence! 🧠 Sometimes the game needs you to /reload, or you need to take a step back and you get logged out. No worries, because all our windows now persist everything for you between sessions. If it was open at session end, it'll restore itself! 💪✅

Clean, Recognizable Layout! 🎨 With the help of @peterodox.bsky.social (Narcissus, Plumber, DialogueUI), each window features a clean icon. Instantly know what type of Window you're on, no more guessing. We've also added a thin scrollbar, which pops out on hover. For easier scrolling!

I still can't understand that cross-fac addon comms weren't in Midnight. 💢 Cross-faction guilds and cross-faction neighborhoods exist that -CANNOT- RP together unless they are: - Grouped - In a In-Game Community - BNet Friends Elixir of Tongues is also still needed.. You can do better, Blizzard. 😭
