50 things that woman over 50 need to hear Part 1 🧵 You’re not starting from zero. You’re starting from experience. Years of living, working, and adapting don’t vanish just because you’re beginning something new.

1/ Grief doesn’t arrive quietly. This year I lost my dad and two friends one to cancer, one to a hit-and-run. It changed me in ways I didn’t expect. #GriefAwarenessWeek

2/ People often don’t know what to say, so they say nothing. That silence can hurt more than the loss itself.

3/ You can work, parent, support others and still feel broken inside. Functioning isn’t the same as coping.

Moving on from what you thought was “forever” is hard but it’s not the end of your story. You’re not starting from scratch; you’re starting from experience. The ending doesn’t erase the meaning — it refines it. You haven’t failed. You’ve evolved. 🌿💛 #Healing #Resilience

Healthcare leaders: Clarity is care. Unclear direction creates confusion, stress and risk. Your team can’t deliver safe, effective care if they’re second-guessing what you mean. Say it simply. Repeat it often. Make it stick. #Leadership #Healthcare

Missed my stop again. 😅 But somewhere between frustration and fatigue, I realised… Maybe I didn’t miss anything. Maybe I just found a moment to breathe. 💙
A screenshot essay titled 'So Tired I Missed My Stop… Again', discussing the unique exhaustion experienced in midlife. The text reflects on the emotional, mental, and spiritual fatigue that accompanies daily life responsibilities such as work and caregiving. The author shares a personal experience of missing their stop on the Tube, once a source of embarrassment, now seen as a reminder to slow down and value being over doing. The essay concludes with the realization that missing the stop might not be a loss but an opportunity for self-preservation and a moment to breathe.

“Healing isn’t forgetting — it’s accepting.” You don’t erase the past — you learn from it. Healing is the moment you stop wishing it was different and start living with what is. That’s real freedom.

If they wanted to, they would. 💔 Sometimes it’s not about you at all. They didn’t see your worth, weren’t ready for your love, or chose comfort over growth. You didn’t lose your person — you made space for peace.

World Suicide Prevention Day reminds me of those I’ve lost—three people whose deaths changed my life. We can’t always fix things, but we can listen. If someone seems off, ask. If they need to talk, hear them. Listening shows they are not alone. #WSPD2025
