Since the start of this year, right? Our app is usually 2-3 week review periods, probably because we have Android Auto as a feature. It used to be about 48-72 hours max, and was 2-8 hours before Android Auto. Complained to support but they don't care and send a boilerplate reply, of course.

For those going to @emfcamp.bsky.social: @davwheat.dev and I set up (no AI whatsoever) a digital helppoint on extension 2466 which will tell you the next departures from Ledbury - accessible on 0114 501 2466 if you're off-site

Keep your eyes peeled... :) A limited number of (Northern/) Irish stations do work, which (as an example) I think includes Ballymoney, as they've been configured correctly in industry systems such that you only have to plan a journey to Belfast for the ticket to be retailed. Others haven't.

I know it's a bit late now... We sent you this notif on our side at 10:00:25 after the platform was confirmed at 10:00:24.928. Annoyingly, after we send the notification, it's out of our hands regarding when it's actually received. The train left Dundee 5 minutes late, though.

It's pretty jank, and there's infinite things I would change if I was remaking it today. I'm surprised some of the Freeview streams still work, though.

You can just add the website to your home screen, which will do what you need. Even better if you do it with railclock.davwheat.dev?hide-footer to hide the text at the bottom.

FYI, if you'd like to try this out, DM me your email and I'll add you to the tester group (which Google demands before I can release it publicly).

watchOS doesn't support third party watch faces. Apple decided only they're good enough to make them.

Never had or used a Garmin watch! I wouldn't even know where to start with those. 😅

Pending Google review as a WearOS watch face too... 👀

I thought I'd take the opportunity to put together a website representation of these new Rail Clocks which launched yesterday. railclock.davwheat.dev Source code (MIT): github.com/davwheat/rai... And, don't worry, it does have the special flourish every 12 hours!

We're delighted to announce support for allocations in the latest version of our Android app (within Live Times), available now! This builds on top of recently opened up Gemini data. We'd like to thank @realtimetrains.co.uk for paving the way for transparency when it comes to unit allocations.

Then you have to consider how many of those "reservations" are actually for "Coach * Seat ***" meaning you don't actually have a reserved seat...

David Wheatley @davwheat.dev · 07/07/2025
Hey, let's be fair... seven of those are just your seat reservations, and one is a receipt!

Bah, there's many more ticketing APIs. Silverrail, Assertis, Pico, etc.

I'd say TrainSplit, but I'm biased given I develop the Android app... :P RTT's solution is also great (powered by us TrainSplit/Raileasy too), but there's no accompanying app.

Huge waste of electricity, low capacity, and outdated. 2G is only here to stay for now because of IoT devices like smart electricity meters.

Yes, but they have their own 4G voice system and don't share O2's, so aren't vulnerable to this. We didn't get the chance to test Sky — didn't know anyone on there.

No, specific to O2 customers only, and those of some O2 MVNOs like giffgaff.

@bahn.de Hi, I have some seat reservations on a service that was cancelled yesterday. The online compensation page keeps telling me to wait until after departure, despite that being 24h ago. Can I get a refund for the reservations another way? Order number: 601068050302

As long as I develop the Android app, we won't make use of Play Integrity for device integrity attestation. If we need to implement this for some reason in the future, then it would be via the hardware attestation API rather than Play Integrity.

We use it to try and ensure people making searches are legitimate users. We've had issues with automated usage before. We don't block rooted devices or custom ROMs from using the app though. All my phones are rooted so that would present a bit of an issue. 😂

🚘 Do you drive to the station? With the TrainSplit app and the power of Android Auto, we can now help you navigate to the station and check on the live status (including platform numbers and delays) of departing & arriving trains - all from the comfort of the driver's seat! ⚠️ Use in-car apps safely

Personally, I love that Three decided to cover the British half of the channel tunnel with mobile coverage. When they learned they had to put some equipment in France to cover the other half, they just never bothered.
