I’m so #OldAF that we called it simply “testing”. Dogfooding utterly fails the “metaphor meaning is obvious” test, at least something like “answer the mail” is clear, if not particularly useful.

Guessing Blaqe is a likely early shooter.

So Roberts will trail Torre by only four to start 2027, got it.

Max’s dagger insurance homer was right into the chop house.

Great call by @stephennelson.bsky.social to describe this as “into the Chop House”, perfect location.

This is a spiritual brother to Eddie Murray’s “batting title” with the Dodgers.

The Pope being a Chisox fan is just the modern form of hair shirts and self-flagellation.

Amazing that they don’t look like PJs.

I love your replay watch threads! Except for the fact you didn’t get to watch live.

Probably have to add footwear for full effect. 😉🤪

Forty weeks ago was about New Year’s Eve. This is the only season-end champagne celebration Padres players get to have.

Can we get a policy from the Max Muncy Insurance Company?

Something like Ohtani swinging. Ten-day IL for you?

010

David Young #Vin @davidyoungtbla.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I was fine with Tommy Edman swinging on *his* first pitch given the count was already 1-1. Prefer not to take and be down 1-2.

Hard to GIDP when you get four consecutive balls.

David Young #Vin @davidyoungtbla.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Tellez sure looks like a GIDP threat.

In case you were wondering why one starts Kiké vs tough LHP Sale instead of Max. (This is not Muncy slander.)

I forgot the game would start earlier today as the stupid eastern time zone game. Fuck that noise as well as the chop noise.

Isn’t this just a form of electronic surveillance, for which one should need a warrant (at least) to deploy?

? I thought Snell was effective in his last regular-season start and that it was planned to be shortened, four IP, I think? Am I misremembering?

Didn’t Joe Walsh write a song about this, then let “The Warriors” use it too? 🎶Somewhere on the event horizon, The Amitie pulls away from the other side 🎶

Atlanta bunted a dude with the handedness advantage (Yaz) vs the guy (Sasaki) str-u-ggl-ing to throw strikes. Bunting remains generally stupid.

ELEMENTARY MY DEAR FREEMAN! Homers vs Holmes!

080

David Young #Vin @davidyoungtbla.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Everything that I’ve always hated about watching Blake Snell pitch happening all at once, plus the Edman bunt decision, makes this game pretty infuriating to watch. Ugly baseball.

Not even a potential GIDP situation, just bat normally!
