Set in 1973 Chile, comedy drama Wild Horse Nine sees writer-director Martin McDonagh doing his awful blokes (here CIA agents) & amusing banter thing, while smuggling in stinging critique of U.S. overseas meddling. Doesn’t quite achieve desired pathos & bit overlong, but exceptionally well-played.
