You can say that this film plays into trans panic tropes that try to connect gender confusion to violence. I don’t think it does completely. Angela takes complete ownership of her identity and agency.

If this is the beginning of a new pandemic, I can’t help but think how fucked America is under their Klown Kar Kabinet regime. The Shitgibbon and Brain Worm have killed all of the programs that could help save lives. Imagining Brain Worm in charge during a pandemic is chilling.

If you are one of those people that can’t focus on a film without a cell phone glowing in your hand, don’t even bother. This film’s effectiveness depends completely on the viewer being immersed without distraction.

This film was shot entirely on a sound stage in London. Even the exterior and automobile shots. The artificiality gives this American fog covered town a sort of dreamy surrealism. Everything feels off, giving this film a nightmarish edge.

This was a short 40 minute TV movie that aired on the British documentary show Omnibus in 1968. Lots of children were terrified, as this was a show that very rarely aired anything fictional.

At one point, I thought he had made a mistake and paused the film while I caught up to what he was doing. I was the one who made a mistake—this screenplay is tight as fuck—but, you will still be suspicious that it gets everything right because it’s so full of brain-bending paradoxes.

Cruel hearted idiots who are completely ignorant. Their fake news bubble where they pretend the Orange Shitgibbon isn’t a complete piece of pedophile shit is collapsing around them and this is their face. Reality is coming.

The world you see once you go into the portal of hell is gloriously weird. It’s clearly modeled after the endless mind-bending pathways created by M.C. Escher. It actually becomes a prototype and influence on modern horror’s obsession with The Backrooms. This world is as weirdly liminal as it gets.
