My introduction canvasses a richer genealogy of movement work than is usually acknowledged in the discipline. I argue that the field of "settler-colonial studies" in the Anglosphere has often truncated important political and interpretive connections that are imperative to keep making. (3/6)

No, they shouldn’t. B/c 1. You can’t just make Cold War civil rights happen again. 2. Cold War Anti-communism was a reputational pressure cooker for civil rights *and* for their severe repression. 2. Increased geopolitical competition (you want more escalation?!?!?) is a recipe against reform.
