Yes being in the drawing sketch then seeing it from the third person - our street is so steep the path has a handrail! But thankfully no cars

Exclusive to Bluesky! Water Sign by 🇺🇸’s Jeff Lorber Fusion, not what I’d usually listen too but I like the cover art! Blue A4 & all sorts of media Wasn’t sure how it was going to work out, took a step back & thought that’ll do nicely. Paul Kenton influenced obviously! youtu.be/n1Sav_zRIDo?...

Feel I should use this platform more than I do. Calmer than X. Inspired this week with French/Belgian duo Ascendant Vierge (Rising Virgo) with Horoscope. Mathilde’s vocals and Paul’s vibe something I like, great album. Reminds me of 🇩🇪’s Propaganda from the late 90’s youtu.be/-NwlPHgPyuc

Thank you - really enjoyable to get a sketch like this down on paper especially when it’s on a big huge sheet - and chapeau to your prompts to, incredible it’s in to the 62nd edition

The Wild Hunt by🇸🇪’s The Tallest Man on Earth(Kristian Matsson) inspired the sketch to the theme. Pastels went big on Light Green 75cm x 50cm. Sketched ahead yesterday, standing up(a good sign), pics from the process, the🐱 helped! & up on the study wall youtu.be/zvol-YQQ2KI?...

Apart from the challenge groups the interaction on X has dropped. X seems too opinionated yet Bluesky seems to lack connectivity- so both roll along - incredibly I’ve drawn ahead for next week today! Another few days on the coast are coming Tuesday to Friday East coast it’s gonna be cold!!

010

David @davidsmith21969.bsky.social · 28/12/2025

One day I will post on both platforms- I’m on X more but feel the need to move increasing

Treated Wifey Eleanor to Lamb after a visit to one of the best places I’ve stumbled across in years - Dead Ink Bookshop brilliant. I sketch more than I ever read, I don’t get a holiday enough but I’m a few pages deep already you might have started something - keep it all Derbyshire

@deadinkbookshop.bsky.social dropped in today by chance and can’t begin to explain how good this bookshop is. Exceptional the knowledge of the of the guy in there, (big tall lad) sorry didn’t ask for names. Get yourself in there for coffee and books. Uplifting to find.

Thank you Portraits have been a step away from the norm. Really enjoyed it, never really got the hang of portraits before, just looked at some of the past faces I’ve drawn, somehow this week something has happened for the good. So I thank the host for the inspiration.

Here goes one more time. Was reminded of this cracking track last weekend over a beer but couldn’t remember who the artist was, earworm all week, so let’s have a third portrait! Unbelievable eh! The Passions, I’m In Love With a German Film Star - pastels on whiteA3 youtu.be/iLn_oMd1DQU?...

Nothing new to offer tonight but an old one from last year that made the 2025 calendar come up when I searched my photos for “reflection” so that’s good enough for me

The light and shades worked well, the resemblance mmmm very subjective I’m sure she wouldn’t recognise herself, but concentrated on the light and depth more, every area was a challenge
