Concert attendance going up seems counter intuitive but I think part of it is that the "older person going to an expensive concert" is now such a big deal. Concerts used to be cheap things young people attended and hopefully you bought the album. (Which was very pricey in 1995!).

I think this is a horrible way to put it, and especially socialism. Socialism sucks, but the good news is in the western world everyone knows it. So no real danger here. The moral and existential decay in the west is harder to put in a 3 part list but there is a big problem.

If you listed to the interview, obviously there is a point where CP comes across as kind of callous. But in the abstract, not all types of sexual assault are equally evil. DR is a subset of R. But R that occurs during a home invasion is generally quite a bit more evil and this should be admitted

Yes. Although again, this is not a serious solution to crime. Neither is gun control really. Flock cameras/drones are where it's at. They aren't a silver bullet but they are a humane, politically realistic and low cost option. When people realize they can't hide violence goes down.

All a symptom of too much democracy. Campaigning against half the country every day between elections. Lincoln and FDR didn't need to say "no wimps" in the civil war and WW2. Was had an understanding that we're good at winning wars and our military doesn't have a wimp problem to begin with.

Vouchers are far from ideal. But idk. When I look at how actual public schools work, I'm now thinking vouchers with zero accountability are the lesser evil. Most schools, and especially low income ones, need discipline. We should shut all those schools down asap and find better options.

In Texas about half of all teachers didn't get an education degree. They go through something called alt cert. They get another degree, then get dinged with a heavy deduction on their first year to pay for the alt cert program. Again this isn't perfect but you know, current system not working.

Student loans were only intended as public support in the sense that some of the interest is subsidized and there was always an understanding that a modest number would not be paid back. Once you're clearly seeing mass default, time to either: fund higher ed directly or restrict who can borrow

I am a conservative in the sense I seen prosperity, national security and public order are generally more important than resource dignity though obv there are edge cases (poor people - cancer treatment) where latter matters a lot. Luckily for Dems, GOP isn't laser focused on any of these virtues.
