full-body commission for @davidsavastano.bsky.social, his human gunslinger Roran Feldspar! thank you for commissioning me 💜 #art

a full-body digital painting of a person standing in a relaxed stance and leaning on a shoulder-fired cannon, situated vertically on the ground. he is tall and lean and appears to be in his thirties. he has light skin, short dark auburn hair and a thick mustache. there is a large healed burn scar on the right side of his head where hair is not growing; the cartilage of his right ear is partially absent and warped, and the shape of his right eye is altered by the scar. his right arm is amputated above the elbow and he is wearing a brass-colored clockwork prosthetic. he is dressed in a dark blue military uniform inspired by the clothes worn by 19th century european soldiers: a jacket with a fur-lined pelisse cape thrown over one shoulder, form-fitting pants and dark leather knee-high boots. the uniform is decorated with parallel froggings in the front, embroidery, and golden lanyards. at his hips, there are two leather revolver holsters. the background behind him is an abstract blue and green, with a suggestion of grass sketched at his feet.

The first 3 real options for '3D Artist' on the Work in Texas site were all defense contractor roles 😬

Was recently in the PNW and got to experience this firsthand. Good fog, 10/10.

Never good to hear as a junior first-industry-job-seeker but alas, we persist.

Honestly having a garden fox buddy seems pretty cool apart from the thing you're currently describing lol

Is there a way to tell if you've been put on any lists? With the consistent stream of Star Wars related accounts following me I feel pretty confident I have been but it'd be neat to know for certain lol

David Mattingly was my professor for 3D composting at Pratt Institute, very cool guy with a lot of knowledge, and some wonderful art that transports you back to a different era. Unfortunately I was terrible with Nuke but hey

I feel like the first time though is insanely stressful and nerve-wracking but after you know how it all goes it becomes a lot more like a black comedy the office
