@jaffathecake is taking us in a fascinating time travel in the history of the select element. It turns out select is the element the most re-created by developers, and the one that gives the most frustration (by far) - no surprise. #smashingconf

Just witnessed sea fog (advection fog) gliding horizontally into the bay of Parikia, like something out of the Pirates of the Caribbean … the fog was dense and obscured the other shore to the point the ferries switched to fog horns. Impressive.

Got up early to #hike a segment of the Byzantine route from Lefkes. The road is over 1000 years old, paved with marble in places, like delicate pieces of a forgotten puzzle. Lovely way to start the day alone with your thoughts in the middle of #nature #paros #hereandnow

View towards Prodromos with Naxos in the background. The paved marble slates follow the path to the right, while the hill of Prodromos stands out on a cerulean sky

The first evening is always the sweetest. Gently loosing focus, wrapped up by the afternoon heat, a Cyclades breeze brushing your skin. Smiles and hugs with locals who recognise you, catching up on the past winter, picking up where you left off. It feels good to be alive. #grateful #hereandnow
