#TheManILove disappointed me overall and a big part of that is down to Rami Malek. He feels so oddly artificial in the lead role, even plastic. I’m always here for Ira Sachs but this could have used the ferocity of Franz Rogowski or even the sensitive restraint of Ben Whishaw

I have been SO excited for everyone to see these cuties in #AvatarSevenHavens! I love how they’re effortlessly bringing in queer characters AND A RELATIONSHIP when most cartoons have shied away from that in today’s climate. Love this show so much 😭😭😭

Did the most harrowing double bill with #QueenAtSea and #TheGuest, two films that reckon with the devastating impact of mental illness on motherhood and the loved ones destroyed in its wake. Both films are extraordinary with some of this year’s best performances, but now I’m 💔

Gutted that #ALongWinter is Andrew Haigh’s first misfire for me. I say that as someone who is obsessed with everything he’s done in the past decade. It’s not bad per se, but the bar was high and this falls far short of it in my eyes. Kit Connor is shirtless within 60 seconds tho

I’ve seen 130+ films this year and #PossibleLove has instantly reached the top of my list. Every second of every frame is perfectly sculpted across 164 minutes of a master working at the top of his game. Lee Chang-dong is physically incapable of making anything less than perfect

I sobbed throughout that entire episode of #DragRacePH and then the Jiggly mention just finished me off. It’s beyond tragic to see Misua’s journey cut so short just as she reached her dream, but this was also an incredibly life-affirming moment of sisterhood and queer solidarity

I’m surprised by how savage the reviews are for #KillJackie. I’ve only watched 2 eps so far but Catherine Zeta-Jones is super charismatic here. It’s a shame that didn’t rub off on the other characters, yes, but I got a kick out of seeing her kick ass with a glorious Welsh accent

#Carrie doesn’t improve on the original and it’s far from Flanagan’s best work. Still, I’d rather watch a ballsy attempt to try something new over a tired retread any day. When it works, it REALLY works, especially when it comes to the acting and the evolution of bullying via social media
