For sure you are familiar with the book “Joy Division: Piece by Piece” by the music journalist Paul Morley. That book is the most relevant work about Joy Division. The film Control (2007) should be watched just for general cultural awareness. There is much to be said about Joy Division, 😊.

I did a bit of research, you're right, ἀλληλοπεριχώρησις, although it exists as a word in ancient thought, takes the meaning of a term with Cyril of Alexandria and John of Damascus. After all, as you know, many ancient words are used as theological terms but with a recreated meaning, e.g. ὁμοούσιος.

If you don't mind, I would use the term ἀλληλοπεριχώρησις, in which in ὁμόνοια no one is lost as a person but is affirmed in relation to the other. As a professor, you know better than I do: Martin Buber says, "I" do not exist if there is no "you" to say "you" to me.

Why should the wave of beautiful thoughts be calmed? Shouldn’t the wave of Beauty be elevated as a criterion by which existence is valued, instead of being reduced to an impersonal nothing? At least in Europe, I see the waves of Beauty embodied in its admirable culture.
