iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I think I'm gonna throw in the towel with social media. The past 14 years online have been great. Made some great friends over the years. But I don't feel the need or even any kind of pull to check in on things online anymore. I'm invisible enough that leaving won't affect anything or anyone.

I don't feel like I belong anywhere.

This piece was written by nj transit 5 years ago I've come back to it every year since, to remember how much they helped save people that day. www.njtransit.com/first-run/20...

25 years since I nearly lost my mom.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the person I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with simply doesn't exist. Welp. Nothing I can do about that then, now is there?

And also the history of the railroads themselves.

Tell you what Drop a picture of one I know the history on it.

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

I think I might abandon social media as a whole. I feel no real pull towards it anymore. All my friends are already on discord. And I'm basically a nobody elsewhere online. Who's gonna miss me?

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

If I'm taking your word for it, then what does it taste like?

I know the feeling, be trying to get myself back too

Yeah I took mine to rahway. Easiest thing to do is get on the train right after rush hour ends, book it for 1, get there early, then finish before the evening rush starts. It's not about choosing the closest testing center, it's about choosing the most convenient one.

Trivially easy, it was basically just a test to see how well one can control and maneuver the thing.

At my road test last week the proctors were asking themselves if I needed a DOT helmet or a standard bike helmet. Since my bike has the ebike stickers rather than moped, the determined that a bike helmet is fine. Presumably if you have moped stickers, you'll need a DOT helmet to go with it.

I just want to have an active chat that has a mind of its own that I love reading and seeing on my screen

Forgot to show off this video I got last month while I was on the way home from the DMV Had no idea Amtrak was moving an Airo set destined for the PNW, I just continue to get lucky with my spots I guess!

Tbh even though it's my birthday tomorrow, I really don't feel like celebrating it this year. What happened since last August? - Started grad school - Got my heart broken - Went to Germany That's really about it. The past year beat the shit out of me. Why celebrate that?

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I know that feeling way too well. We'll both make it through, somehow.

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

I think I might just give up on being a vtuber and streaming altogether. I haven't been well in months. I'm a shadow of who I used to be. And nothing seems worth the effort anymore, including streaming. I mean, peaking at 0-2 CCV average makes me, by all metrics, a failure. So why bother anymore?

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

I know what I'm doing If they push this through like Sony did with the digital-only bullshit, I'm gonna retire from streaming before I even debut. That or I switch to YT only streams. But probably the first one. I never had any real following anyway. Nobody would miss me if I just... leave.

So I'll still be here (and not on Twitter), but probably only a few times a week instead of a few times a day. Gotta use these sites in moderation.

David F. 🚞 @davidnightjet.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

oh, important thing to add to this: probably only gonna be active here (and on social media as a whole) when I want to rather than most days like I used to. because my break from it all was honestly really refreshing. I didn't miss the commotion at all.
