Gotcha ... Well, I was making a very specific comparison. Two senate races, two ethically challenged candidates, and two parties caught in this pickle of not having clean hands on 'vote against the other team's bad guy' since they're trying to elect their own bad guy...1/2

Appreciate the feedback. There's a long campaign to come. He'll be accused of all sorts of positions. So he'll have to take positions and repeat them. He'll have to explain his positions in different contexts. Having said something once is insufficient. So I think my analysis holds up.

His job approval ratings were nonetheless horrible in part because voters blamed him for skyrocketing inflation. Presidents always get blamed, whether at fault or not, and Biden was no different

That's exactly how swing voters viewed things: They remembered a good pre-Covid economy and looked at Covid as an anomaly — or they memory-holed it. Democratic strategists were telling me this early in 2024 when Biden was still the presumptive nominee. So yes, it was a thing. FWIW.

I made a distinction between Epstein and his crimes and other people in the documents about which no crimes have been alleged. And what I said about elected officials is that they're being treated w/ more deference by partisan voters (depending on the pol) than are corporate and other officials.

My analysis is not based on "if, then." It's based on observation of what I've seen in POTUS's in my lifetime. But also, it fits with the rigors/decisions it takes to get elected president. It's similar to: 'It takes a certain level of intelligence to become a brain surgeon.' Maybe I'm wrong.

My general rule is that you don't get elected POTUS w/out being smart and savvy in some form or another. I think this applies to all presidents elected/reelected in my lifetime (Nixon was in his first term when I was born.) People can be wrong/foolish/immoral/misguided, that's a different thing
