You and the crew made the right call for the take the show settled on but I really love this one as the version of Superman who'd be played by Lucas Lee and stars in energy drink commercials.

Sora with a regular cell phone is actually fucking me up more than all the other 'this is the realistic universe' signifiers. Him having normal sized shoes is horrifying but obvious, this is a much subtler little 'that should not be an object he is capable of perceiving nevermind interfacing with'.

Lost my mind flipping through last year’s new Superman Ultimate Guide in a bookstore yesterday and seeing this. It’s been a decade, are you bastards not satisfied yet.

The original “Death of Superman” saga was one of the greatest Superman stories of all time, capturing media attention and an entire new generation of comic book readers. But when it was decided to gradually phase out the New 52 version of Superman, the death would be handled with much less pomp and circumstance. Because it wasn’t this younger, inexperienced Man of Steel for which the fans were clamoring. They were eagerly awaiting the return of the classic post-Crisis Superman, almost as much as they had been after he was first killed by Doomsday.

Y’know what no, it serves no one to be oblique about it, why is there a scene in Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez’s Batman #1 that plays like a transphobic fever dream? How many levels of innocent miscommunication and obliviousness could’ve reasonably resulted in this?

A pair of women are being chased through a park by “the Creeps”, a gang of guys with dyed hair in tattered fetishy clothes including see-through bras, brandishing scissors and muttering the likes of “Hey baby girls be a lot sexier if you smiled”

Batman runs a bunch of them over in the Batmobile and beats the shit out of the rest, then declares “The Creeps have decided Robinson Park is their Hunting Ground. The police don’t think it merits concern. I disagree.”

The problem is that Grant Morrison and Dan Mora’s Batman/Deadpool is The Pitch unto itself, the goofiest possible first crossover in 20+ years to have executed by that caliber of talent. I’m sure Wells and Capullo will do great but the existence of an accompanying oneshot inherently dilutes the bit.

Spent years paying attention to any word on To Be Hero X, so five episodes in I’m glad it didn’t turn out to be extremely bad but is, instead, extremely good. Easily the most interesting cape material of the season besides - to the extent you even count it as capes - Absolute Martian Manhunter.
