One of my favorite TV shows, and a big influence on my childhood, Kolchak: The Night Stalker debuted on this date in 1974. I remember being excited - I'd been given an old, camp-size b&w TV that had no sound, replaced the little speaker, and would squirrel away in my room to watch it.

Y'know, it wouldn't be out of character for them to adopt a feral colony. I mean, they do with people; same concept, just feed strays. And Howler would get great therapy - & new friends - by tending them. One of the benefits:
