Some weeks ago I published a post here saying "man, I love Phoebe Bridgers" when she released her new album. A week or so ago, same with Agnes Odel. And now that the "sad gay version" of Brandi Carlile's "Returning to myself" is out, I have to say... MAN I LOVE BRANDI CARLILE

Tried to give the "new 52" (pun intended) the side eye, but... man, is the yema quemada cake GOOOOOOD. :)

David Macho @davidmacho.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

52 weeks is a full year, and those are also my years today. In the photos you'll see my beloved @paloma_joga and our daughter Erin's Birthday gifts. One is Ludwig Goransson's The Odyssey FULL soundtrack in vinyl, the other one... well, I'll let you guess, but... it's a sign of the times. :)

Saw this in the Sky a couple days ago… Venus and the Moon.

010

David Macho @davidmacho.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

PS: I know, Zendaya, Lupita, Charlize are also incredible in the screen time they have. This is by far the strongest script Nolan has ever written for female characters on screen, something he’s been (rightly) criticised for in the past.

000

David Macho @davidmacho.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

Everybody is AMAZING in The Odyssey: Damon is Oscar worthy, Morton SO GOOD, Leguizamo means DIGNITY, SLEAZY Pattinson… BUT there’s ONE scene that stands out to me above all, and I won’t say more bc spoilers (you can ask me by DM) but that scene by Anne Hathaway is a MASTERCLASS.

David Macho @davidmacho.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

HOLY CRAP, THE ODYSSEY. Absolute, total, MASTERPIECE.
