His wrongdoing was discovered because he messed up on how he was paying a victim who was blackmailing him and ran afoul of mandatory bank reporting requirements. After his conviction, he tried to claw the blackmail money back, unsuccessfully.

This reminds me of a David Letterman top ten list for the top ten names for an upcoming Rolling Stones tour. My favorite from the list was: The Rolling Stones Live! – and Keith Richards.

Me, playing demon of temptation on your left shoulder: But the church wasn't usable without renovations and the adjacent property that you bought, so you should count that in the price too, and then update that number to account for inflation.

Despite your alt text, I choose to believe that's the eye of a giant reptile that is otherwise invisible or perfectly camouflaged. If you get injured or eaten on one of these dangerous trips outside, don't blame it on me.

As a transplanted Texan, I think Trump lost more than a few Texans when he didn't try to rename the Gulf of America to Gulf of Texas and went with Gulf of America instead. I can easily believe the Texas state legislature would do it if only Trump hadn't done his thing.

Is there a special name for this kind of poetry about cats? Since it's about cats, doggerel seems inappropriate somehow.

I think Asimov only deviated from this to make a science fiction-y point. Like in The Currents of Space there were just a few sentences about the slave class being white (and blond, I think) while the ruling class was dark-skinned.

It took me a little bit to figure out your description of the Obin early on in The Shattering Peace. It didn't take me nearly so long to visualize your other aliens. So I guess in addition to being boring to you they may sometimes also distract the reader. Your level of detail is spot on for me.

According to the video, it's comes down to your skin microbiome, which mostly depends on your genetics. All this time I believed mosquitoes passed me by because I was such a cool guy (Literally! My temperature has always measured on the low side.).

When I was researching cover crops I saw blends that had radish seed in them. I wonder if maybe that is where your radishes came from. Also, years ago I used a cover crop blend that had foxtail millet in it, and now foxtail millet is a common weed in my garden and my lawn.

Sadly, my gmail account is so thoroughly incorporated into my life that I can't abandon it. It's used for friends, doctors, business, retirement, and countless subscriptions and commercial transactions. It would be *so* much trouble transferring these to something currently more reputable.

In my youth many decades ago, I recall there was a bit of a raw milk craze that led to miscarriages from brucellosis. The old tried and tested ways (pasteurization) are way better than the older tried and known to fail ways.

I am going on memory here. I think I got them at a local discount vegetable market that sells a number of weird things, so it's possible that I bought some odd knockoff instead of the real thing. The online evidence certainly does not back me up.

I got the cotton candy grapes once without first reading the label. Turns out that they are infused with artificial cotton candy flavoring. I do not like very many types of artificial flavorings, and it turns out I REALLY don't like cotton candy grapes.

OK, I donated. I just wanted to add that my UIL participation was a long time ago, back when one of the contests was Slide Rule. I competed in that too some years but I think I was always only an alternate.

I grew up in small-town Texas and UIL was a big thing for us. My high school years we did really well in our division (we were barely big enough to be an "A" school). I competed in Science not acting, but "One Act" is a worthwhile thing to contribute to and I expect it will feed my nostalgia.

From what I've been told, the virus is not easily transmissible (someone with the virus is not infectious until they're showing symptoms AND you have to be in prolonged close contact with them to have much chance of catching it), so it's unlikely to spread beyond a few cases.

I watched it last fall and thought it was really good. Suspenseful and entertaining to the very end, and wraps up nicely. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for season 2 (they haven't started shooting yet, so I'm guessing we'll see it sometime in 2027).

If I misspelled "souls" as "sould" it would then get autocorrected to "should" and I would end up with some odd phrases indeed. In fact, my body just left my should just thinking about it.
